I suspect it all boils down to not being able to resolve Nyplayer to NYPLAYER since NETBIOS names are traditionally supposed to be upper case.

I wonder how that happened.... I browsed both the recording and Archive network folders I did not type anything in yet the First recording folder came out upper and lowercase ... and the Archive came out correctly. Is Sub doing anything to change the recording folder computer name to proper English (Capitalize first letter)?

I just added a few test folders and apparently the media folders dialog does use that odd formatting but using the recording directories it does not. Martin

I have been using comskip successfully for while. However, when I happen to do a manual skip that ends in the middle of a commercial skip (from edl file), the playback pauses for about 10 seconds. Is this just Kodi being slow? Thanks.

Ok, since I don't know what your expectation is jumping forward into a commercial, if you think it's a problem report it in the Kodi forums. with your kodi.logs after upgrading to 14.1.

In case anyone is interested, I figured out this issue. TS files take the longest during skips, especially the scenario I described above. So now, I move the file into an MP4 container after the recording is done using a script. Now skips are immediate. No re-encoding required.

thanks guys in advance please help my brain is going to explode I have been reading everything and nothing works I'm still new to nextpvr and what I'm trying to do is record with no commercials I set the Padding minutes to 0 pre and post now I added comskip and followed everything from the http://nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Utility.ComSkip post and I cant get it to work now I'm trying to use this before I try to put it on kodi please tell me what am I doing wrong made bat file put it in script folder nothing the only thin I can think of is when I record I have to wait for a show to finish so I don't I wait for commercial stop to see if commercial is I n recording I try to save video in comskip folder I try with out to also to see if bat file starts but nothing still commercial in recording thanks in advance any help will be appreciated thanks

I'm not sure what's wrong here but first off Comskip doesn't actually remove the commercials from the recording file. It reads the file and marks the location of the commercials. It saves this info in a file with the extension .edl that has the same name as the recording.
Programs such as NPVR, SageTV and Kodi (in some scenarios) will use this .edl file to automatically skip forward over the commercials during playback. If comskip isn't producing several files in the same directory as the recording then something is wrong with your .bat file. |
