Kodi addon keeps freezing, on playback then dumping back in the recordings list

This is your typical problem, the video stalls and cannot set the resume position because of network errors and then basically several minutes of network errors occur before Kodi is able to reconnect to NextPVR. As far as I can tell there is a network issue not related to Kodi or NextPVR other then the amount of data you are pushing through it. Perhaps you are using wifi?

No advanced settings is not still working. Maybe connect your share to a video library and get it playing there first. Then from there I can tell you what the proper setting should be.

Thanks. I did mention earlier whether this might be a network issue rather than a Kodi/NPVR thing, although the router logs look ok and you thought at that time that the program logs did, too. I'm connected via ethernet, so I think I will see if I can try another router.

I'm being dense again: what do you mean by connecting the share to a video library? What video library?

Kodi's video library using your share as the source. Given that you have now sent 3 or 4 logs that show exactly the same symptom it looks more like a network issue. Harder to determine this with earlier crashing on the server side with first DVB issues and more recent NextPVR issues.

I swapped the router but the issue has happened again. On this occasion, as on some previous ones as noted above, it did allow me to resume where it left off. I'm going to swap the ethernet cables, first between the router and the backend and then, if that makes no difference, between the router and the frontend.

Video library works fine when connected to the shared folder. The Kodi log at http://paste.kodi.tv/gawapudaza refers to it and also has the freeze I mentioned in my last post, somewhere around 0745-0800 - this was a freeze that allowed me to resume.

I missed the space, too! Have fixed that.

Kodi still seems to be freezing after changing the router and the cables between that, the front end and the back end. I have a spare network card somewhere so will swap that in at the back end. The odd thing is, it tends now to freeze at the end of playback, not much during it. However, I've not used it much the last 2 or 3 days.

Things seem to have settled down since I change the network card, so presumably that was the root of the problem. Apologies for taking up so much of your time on what turned out to be a hardware issue,
