I've added this logic for the next build. (In addition, I probably need to add a prompt in the web UI to suggest the user updates the EPG after merging any channels)

Might you be able to add the ability to automerge by channel number, too? I'm only a day into this new database. I could restore my old one and just manually import the few recordings from yesterday/today. Then when the next build is available redo the merging (and hopefully all of my scheduled recordings would still work).

A Hauppauge DCR-2650 and a SD HDHR Prime (in HDHR mode). But many of the channel "names" are different. I don't know if that is because the DCR-2605 and the HDHR Prime names are determined differently or (more likely) because the cable company changed the "names" of the channels sometime in the 2-3 years since I originally set up the DCR-2650.
