I installed the patched 2025-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11, version 25H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5066835) (26200.6899) last night and NPVR is working fine.

Was there actually a patch? It probably was just the Microsoft defender update.

I simply reactivated Windows updates (which I had halted earlier on in the week before uninstalling KB5066835) and downloaded KB5066835) (26200.6899) again.
I did not observe any Defender updates.

Well Defender happen pretty much every day and aren't shown in Windows updates. Check Windows security and as I noted it was fixed in 1.439.218.0 now they are up to 1.439.290.0
I know it is odd to have the fix (or maybe workaround) in Defender, I think it is more than a false positive. Even the video talks about defender. Regardless it works now. Martin |
