I just installed the new version of the yaInstaller3 and so far after an hour of testing my audio sync problems are gone. Looks like the new client has solved my audio sync problems. Thanks ..

Rich, try this updated dll when you get a chance. I'll be interested to hear if it fixes your problem in nextpvr.exe

Thanks for the link to the zip? file. You want me to unzip that Unmanaged.dll" file and put it in the "client" folder right?

Yes, overwriting the existing file called unmanaged.dll

Just to be safe, I had NPVR playing a show, so I stopped the playback, then renamed the old DLL to Unmanaged_old.dll and installed the new DLL. Am now watching a show and waiting for the sync problem to become noticable .. (generally takes several minutes) I'll post back here later with results.

You would have had to close NextPVR.exe after stopping playback, or it shouldn't have let you rename/replace the existing dll. (at least I'm fairly sure that is the case)

Yes, I expected that and planned accordingly.  No problem.  I had to watch a boring talk show (so I could clearly see the lip sync) and cuz it was so boring and I was so tired I fell asleep.  Woke up almost an hour later and the show was fiished so I had to restart it and watch another 20 minutes or so.  <grin>  It's running now (for the last 30 minutes) in a window while I'm writing this.

The sync now is VERY close.  Before with the old DLL, it was VERY evident after about 15 minutes.  Seemed to lag behind the video getting worse the longer it played.  Now after watching for almost 30 minutes and watching it "carefully" it is off just a tiny bit.  Almost too little to notice but does look like the sound is lagging behind video some milliseconds.  I'll have to test with something better to see the effect.

Oh wait a minute .. let me try something ...  Okay, I stopped the playback and then resumed it. Normally when I do that the sync will re-set itself back to perfect at first and then degrade.  What I can see is the amount of syncing error is WAY less now.  Still increasing over time but very very slight now.  So slight I had stop and restart the playback to be able to see the difference.  I'll have to watch something longer for an hour or two for a real test.  Just recorded a new 2 hour movie.  Tiime to make some popcorn.  ... Thanks

Was able to look at a few longer recordings and the sync problem is still there. The replacing the Unmanaged.dll actually has not helped. I was mistaken when I said it looked a little better. It takes at lease 10 or 15 minutes before the sync is noticable due to the lack of video where you can see the effect. Sorry about that. So I've still got the problem with NextPvr desktop client.

I gave instructions in that other thread about collecting another special demux log. You could try that too. The more info I can get, the better.
