I just wish it was up and running right now. In the US the space network has been airing the 2nd season of Battlestar Galacticia the past 7 weeks. Here in Canada it will not be availaible for another few months. Some episodes are available online but not the latest episode ..... i.e. #7

Great idea.. Would be nice to allow manual entry of users via the plugin, if people use dyndns services. Course if you were overly paranoid, or a security oriented person, that's me on both accounts, you could use Secure CoPY (SCP) or Secure FTP (SFTP) via PuTTY, but that's just me. There are windows SSH servers that you can run, I think I've posted on that before.

That's if you want to avoid anyone sniffing your FTP and seeing what your doing.

Would be cool if the plugin allowed you to mark the videos you want to allow to be shared too.

I looked at grouper. And it seems like it would work quite well. They will not add a hook for a plugin to talk to it though. We can use it to setup tv clusters if enough people dont think they need the plugin?

yes. Grouper runs as a standard p2p app. However they dont have any hooks to drive it from a plugin.

I'll be happy to share stuff with "trusted" people. However, many show names here in Sweden are translated. We'll need a database with show names translations, so people know what to download :-)
"Friends" = "Vänner", etc.

I know what you mean about a "trusted" group. We'd have to have an agreement about not sharing these shows outside our group (or posting them on the internet, etc).

Anyway, I've created a private group in grouper (just for concept testing :-), but I'm not sure how to email the invites. Maybe send me a private message with your email addy?
