For some reason NativeUtilities doesn't like running without gb-pvr actually installed. If you remove it you'll have better luck.

Is it possible to delete recordings (not scheduled recordings the actual recordings themselves) from the web interface? If not, could this feature be added? The web interface is a great tool and once the "Season" recording options get caught up it will be even more useful.

Yes, You can hit 'Cancel Recording' in the popup that appears for a recorded program.

When the properties window opens up choose the Web Sharing tab.

Select the Share this folder radio button and enter a name that you would like to use for the site (like gbweb).

Click Apply.
Click Ok.

You should be able to access the site at http://localhost/yoursitename/login.aspx

You can set the user name and password in the Config utility of GBPVR under the misc tab. You can select to not run the GBPVR web server since IIS will be hosting the site.

Note: For some reason it appears that it will only come up correcty in IE when hosted via IIS....not sure why.

Does this only work if IIS is running on the same machine as GBPVR?

Yes.....To my knowledge IIS and GBPVR must reside on the same machine. I have not found a way to serve up a site via IIS where the site is stored on a different machine.

Is your page that you want to add the link to accessed outside of your network or do you only access it internally?

If you only access it internally you should be able to simply add a link on your IIS hosted page that uses a URL that is pointing to the machine that has GBPVR installed on it.....this means the machine running GBPVR would host the web admin via its internal web server. The link would look something like:

http://den:7647/gbpvr/Guide.aspx

If you access your page from outsite your network you will not be able to access the link since the URL would be resolved on the machine you are accessing your page from and would not be found.

Enhancement suggestions:
1. Options to order the "Manage Recordings" display ordered by Date/Time or Alphabetical;

2. Option to group recordings for multiple episodes i.e. All "Stargate SG-1" in a 'folder', etc

3. Don't include items in the record buffer directory. These seem to be left behind when timeshifting is interupted for some reason and the web interface includes them in the Manage Recording list
ASUS A7V880, Athlon XP 3000+, 1024MB, 250GB (Prog/DB), 40GB (Buffer/Temp), 670GB SATA (Video Library), PVR150MCE Video (2), NEC DVD+/- RW, Liteon DVD, nVidia FX5600 AGP, Onboard AC 97 Audio, Hauppauge Remote, Girder, USBUIRT,802.11G WLAN, nVidia Platinum Decoders

1. shouldn't be too hard,
2. ditto,
3. these items shouldn't be in the list at all, _unless_ you're hitting the record button during recording - in which case I think GB-PVR thinks you meant to record it Smile

these being said, I don't have time to implement anything, so if anyone else wants to make some patches I'm happy to review and apply, etc...

Also on the todo list is to add a generic media folder browsing interface so that the video and music library directories are accessable via the web interface. (If anyone wants to try implement this, please contact me first, because I have a few points that I think should be taken into consideration)

Hi there,

Just a feature request that I would like to see. Right now I can login to the server with my PDA but unfortunately I can not schedule a recording because once I click on Record it just takes me back to the same page with the recording options.

If anyone could make it so that I could program GB-PVR with my Pocket PC you'd be my next god.

RGDS & TIA

When I go to the Statistics page in the Web Interface I get the following error printed at the very top in the blue section.

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at gbweb.Info.GetRecordingStatuses() in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\web\info.aspx.cs:line 181 at gbweb.Info.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\web\info.aspx.cs:line 64

Any ideas on this one? Also, one idea for an enhancement would when you go to the statistics page to tell you how many days of guide data you have left in the Guide. It's a nice feature to tell if something is wrong with your EPG update or not.

same as post #407, which I replied to in post #410.

Hmmm, having the number of days that you have guide data for would be very useful, someone want to code that up and send me the patch? Smile
