build 17:
New in 0.17 - May 17th, 2005
- Added option to pick operation during LiveTV PreviewMode channel change.

This should help the errors experienced by edmondt and nosedive1983. I also changed the default from Pause to Stop, but now everybody can choose what's best for them.

*sigh* The box I'm hosting the download on at the moment seems to hang randomly. It's an old P1, 166Mhz running Debian Linux 2.4.27 with 48MB of memory and 6GB of disk space. It must be a hardware issue that is causing the problems because not even NumLock works when it hangs. So it gets rebooted by hand. *sigh*

edmondt: can you try playing with GraphEdit (search the forum for info on where to get it etc) and seeing if you can construct a graph that plays your video. I'm particularly interested if you need to change any pin or filter properties to get it to work.

Hi there!
I had GB PVR working 100% fine a while ago, but then needed to uninstall and reinstall. All hardware and software is the same as before, when it was working.
I am using GBPVR with the Software recorder and a WinTV Go card and latest versions of all the software, Incl. WDM drivers and video card drivers, which is the same as it was when the program was working.

The first problem is minor...when I use the VMR9 setting, the video appears upside down...if I use VMR7, I'm fine.

Second problem is more serious...The recorder does not work. It doesn't even try to record. It does create the directory for the recording on the hard drive, in preparation for the recording, but then does nothing. Live TV works as does the TV Listings.

I have attached the recording log file as I noted there was an error in there...can anyone tell me why and how to fix??
Thanks!
Mike

I just tried the plugin with a non-PVR WinTV USB. I got video fine, but using the digital (over USB) audio, it was never right. I'd get a 1 second spurt every 3-4 seconds and it sounded like it was stuck on fast-foward. Probably a disagreement about the sample rate somewhere.

But my 878 WinTV PCI worked fine. Well, except for the fact that I'd like GB-PVR to only use the card for live TV and not consider it a recording source when it's checking scheduling. But otherwise it's working great so far.

Thanks.

Yea, I find that with VMR9 my video continually 'twitches'.

It seems that something is up with the Moonlight Encoder. Can you confirm what version you have installed, also maybe check if it has expired. I assume TimeShift mode is also broken?

Plain wierd. Is there maybe a bandwidth problem somewhere too? (You might also try GraphEdit to see if you can tweak the playback - search the forum for GraphEdit for a download link)

The trick there is to provide two different EPG's so that the channels are not recognised as the same. Then you can schedule it to record on the device you want it to.
