Brett, sorry for the delay but I have been puzzling away at this.

Could you check you config.xml for this <AutoExtendSportsEvents> I think you changed it to true seeing this

2025-10-05 08:29:05.395 [DEBUG][1] NextPVR extending = True

so it won't be extended by NextEnd, because in theory it is using NextPVR for extending even though Schedules Direct stopped that service.

It was indeed set to "true". I just changed it to "false" and restarted NextPVR.

I am having trouble with NextEnd for FIFA. First step I noted that I was running an old version,  NextEnd-4.2.0. I updated to NextEnd-5.0.0.zip. For background, since I am on Arch linux NextPVR is installed in /home/craig/NPVR and NextEnd installed in /home/craig/.NPVR-data/Plugins/Nextend 

After updating NextEnd I ran

I edited NextEnd.runtimeconfig.json to add my local path

Wrong file attached, give me a minute to correct. Okay logs updated but can't seem to delete NextEnd zip file.

There is no support for the subtitle "FIFA World Cup 2026" or in the ESPN scrapper so I am not surprised.

FWIW I have NextPVR running as a service on Arch just like Debian based.

Bummer, there isn't a scrapper. Good to know why it wasn't working as I expected.

I just remembered what worked on the weekend. It was golfing, I don't watch golfing, but I was wanting to record a test sporting event to see if NextEnd worked.

If I have some free time I will look at the scraper for the next round.

Looks like it will be possible, fewer changes than I thought. Later today I will test it.

It will need a new client and a server side change but it looks like it will work   No guarantees, but replace this and I will update server before tomorrow's games.

Using Windows 11, NextPVR Version: 7.1.1.260616
I did install .net v 11 and v 8
Just installed and ran
start /b "" "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\Plugins\NextEnd\NextEnd.exe" --monitor
Corrected Error message:

C:\Program Files\NextPVR>Error:
An assembly specified in the application dependencies manifest (NextEnd.deps.json) was not found:

Please advise, I reviewed my errant install and fixed it to what was stated in Message #1.

You don't need to install .Net or Netcore,

Download the main package https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/NextEnd update it from the update.

I don't use Windows much  so I haven't tested it in ages, probably simpler to unzip the two zip files into the NextPVR program folder and delete the NextEND json files.

Note this utility will only work with Gracenote style data.

I confirmed it is working on Windows
