the nvidia skip-sync issue still exists in vmr9, but not in vmr7..
tried both reg. and special renderer...it is better but still there..
ff/rw in vmr7 is realtime! like overlay and looks better with the new decoders tho..but Sub, sure wish the osd update would work for vmr7 like in custom renderer vmr9...any chance? Smile
seems like that install issue is solved in this new release as well..nice work..
things are lookin tight now with the new versions lately.. glad they got that bug ironed out,was starting to worry me..

I have tried those drivers now on bot WinXP and Server 2003, with the same result: After some channel switching i suddenly get no video, or no audio, or both, or miscoloured video, or "scrambled" video (looking like an out-of-sync antenna-signal).
I can only use the PAL modes, which should have been fixed with the 24054 release afaik.

Anybody else seen that?

Didnt have the issue until I added a second card. about 1 week later i got the timestamp issues whenever i would record 2 shows at the same time. The new drivers so far are working like a charm. love the new release too.

as for the chipset. Nforce 2 (nonUltra). DFI.

Thanks so much for the help sub.

I too have not had one issue since installing the new drivers.

Any idea when this fix will be incorporated in a production level release of the drivers?

now i'm getting an audio sync issue with the internal tuner...never had any problems with audio sync before..wonder if it's the new drivers..
syncs back up when i go to timeshift mode and never loses it that way...but in live mode it starts out in sync and the video soon slows down till it's quite far behind the audio..several seconds after a few minutes...only on internal tuner too...sat. thru svideo works fine always..
any thoughts?
silly me,answered my own question..was using the nvidia audio decoder and switched to the msmpeg one and all better Big Grin
edit:actually turned out to be VNC with vmr mode..overlay seems to co-exist fine so it's probably my video card performance..
nebermind...

I am going to have to do some 3 at the same time recording checks. Although I have not had any timeline issues....I have notcied that the last 3 times that I had 3 shows recording at the same time one of them just shows a white screen with no sound.

Tri-recording nights are rare so it was this 3rd time that made me realize that I appear to have something strange going on when I am recording 3 things at once.

I've tried these, and the most recent. These eventually gave me the sound issue. The newest ones--first installed after reinstalled OS--eventually froze TV on program time change.

I keep saying--and not listening to myself--that if you have a set of drivers that work, stick w/ them. It may not be as sharp or whatever as the latest/greatest, but you're not apologizing to the wife at 8:59 when they crap out right before Lost.
