Updated the BaseSkin to v2.5 on the Wiki

The big difference is that BaseSkin is split to 2 parts
BaseSkin and BaseSKinPlugins.

Introduced a system variable &SKINROOT% that will be used for next update of ThemePacks.
Run InstallSkin.bat to run SkinRoot program and install Blank font

Skin files change
Changed the loading order of Background_Mask.png
Implemented earlier fixes, found in support thread.
Changed XML values to fix "minor bugs" and appearance of popups in TVguilde, Recordings, Video, System, Photo.

Would 2.5 work with GB-PVR 96.12?? Or should I stick with 2.0??:confused:

I think v2.5 should work with 96.12. There might be one tag in system screen thats missing i 96.12
Make a backup of your current BaseSkin, install v.2.5 and try,

What I miss is the possibility to easily shut off animation of task images. If I set animate="false" manually in skin.xml, it works, but each time I switch themes (with Theme Manager) it gets overwritten...

I recommend that you turn off the task animation in the config.xml file

<AnimateTaskTransitions>false</AnimateTaskTransitions>

I suggested that sub should add a checkbox for this in the config app, but I guess he forgot that.....until then you have to edit that value manually.

I wonder if someone could help me out, I'm having a small problem with BaseSkin 2.6/Advisor Theme Mayhem 2/My Videos 5 RC1.

I am using GBPVR 97.13 w/SQLite and when I use the stock blue skin, My Videos 5 menu option appears in it's correct order on the menu and works correctly as well.

When I switch to the BaseSkin and any combination of themes (though my interest is mainly in Mayhem2) the menu option disappears. I know I must have installed something incorrectly but everything else under BaseSkin works the way it's supposed to; menu options, task pane animations and all my other plugins work and are supported including;

Check EMail
Weather
Sports Scores
Theatre
Music Library2

Even plugins that aren't officially suported like Music Albums worked once I copied the Blue skin dir over.

I've looked at all the online resources and have come up blank and I can't seem to find an explanation for it. As soon as I go back to the standard blue skin, the button shows up again.

Reven's plugins found on his site are not supported in BaseSkin. The ones included are older versions.

You need to copy over the folders from blue.
