If you're sure its correct, I'll be able to tell you more if you run FilterCheck and attach the FilterCheck.log it produces: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Your drivers are called: "Silicondust HDHomeRun uBDA Tuner". I'm guessing these are the old drivers, dating from back before the HDHomeRun guys added that code into the name? or are these new drivers just released?

If these are new driver, I'll help you update the BDA.ini. If they're old drivers, then you need to update to the newer drivers.

This is perplexing. The bda.ini lists the correct name: [Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 10101E4C-0] .
I assume the new drivers were loaded when I updated to
hdhomerun_win32_20070211beta5.msi.
What would cause the discrepancy?
Perhaps I should uninstall GB-PVR and begin anew?

No - this specific about the HDHomeRun drivers, not GB-PVR. Reinstalling GB-PVR wont change the name filter names the HDHomeRun drivers are crearing.

whurlston might happen by and be able to answer the question, otherwise you might need to post a question on the HDHomeRun forums asking why your drivers would have created filters called 'Silicondust HDHomeRun uBDA Tuner' instead of the expected 'Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 10101E4C-0'.

I dont know very much about the HDHomeRun myself (never even seen one), so cant really answer the question myself.

sub - I've been following a few DVB/BDA threads recently...

This from http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=3

I'd say an old driver issue.

Cheers,

This is what the drivers show up as if you do not follow the first paragraph of the instructions when you download the beta drivers. The paragraph says:
Code:
You must run the "HDHomeRun Manager" from the start menu after installing.
It will show the HDHomeRun icon in the notification area - double click to
open and then click "Install All" to install BDA drivers.

It's easy to miss this because it's at the top of the page, followed by the download link, and then more complete installation instructions which for some reason don't include this bit where pertinent.

If you follow the instructions, the drivers name will get change to reflect your device id, and then GBPVR should work.

Ok, so sounds like jetgraphics has missed some of the critical HDHomeRun install steps.

Thanks for the info.

It was my pleasure. I started a thread on this very topic over on the HDHomeRun forums a couple weeks ago because I missed it too. Smile

Silicondust HDHomeRun uBDA Tuner is the old single tuner version. This means the new drivers are not installed.
