New Show Image Grabber Utility

Is it supposed to put images into the TV listing updated by the on air epg update? When I did it by XML it would do so after running some of the XML update batch files.Currently i can grab xml because radio times in Uk is moving hosting server. My TV Listing looks so bland. Any way I can get the images, star ratings and film: headers back?

Any way I can get the images, star ratings and film: headers back?All ShowImageGrabber(B) does, is attempt to locate a thumbnail image for each show entry in your EPG and place the image in the gbpvr/media/art directory. It does NOT retrieve any show details OR update the EPG in any way.

I've got the TV listing sorted now. xmltvextras was enough to run. I'm trying to use your showimagegrabber utility to get the images now. It's strange that it doesn't find any images for items on my epg tagged with 'Film:' I've looked at the UK radio times postprocessor settings for xmltv gui. I've taken the film tag off but it still comes pre tagged into the showimage grabber. Can you tel me what might be going on with the images not being found and hoow to correct?

There are several EPG enhancers, the Image Grabber probably is not adjusting for the one your are using...

Well I've pasted an image if it helps. All those film boxes there I've tried ticking, and clicked 'get selected image' but it returns 'no image found' at the bottom. I guess the ones ticked are images already has in the media\art folder from a previous run.

I'd say that it has a problem with the prefix "Film:" as it can't find that in a film list.
Either Javawiz will have to strip that out, or your EPG provider may be able to do this. I use TVxB where you can clip words such as Promo: Film: etc from EPG Film Titles so it leaves JUSt the name of the film, which MW will then be able to find icons/details for. TVxB can use tell the EPG that Film is a Show Category or other type of EPG info. To test this you can either manually go through your EPG xml file and search and replace Film: with (nothing) or try to edit one or two using JW's edit episode utility (I think this will work), then retry the icon search. If there are other 'prefix' items that should be filtered, let me know and I will add those as well... |
