I have a PVR350 and it would be nice in DVD Decript to be able to select the protection in GBPVR or at least assume a default so I wouldn't have to go tomy computer to select it. Is the possible?
Great Plugin BTW!!

Went through the whole process debugging my installation as it went and I'm left with the temp files. It looks like everything worked except stage4. the temp files are still there but the final mpeg is not. Here is my log file:

Hi,
don't know, but I can give you my experiance, you need the beta version of Besweet, I have one machine that this plugin works on, the others not ! there must be an easy way to convert dvd's to mpeg , and sort out the AC3 audio to MPEG ?
2004-11-22, 02:08 PM
Thanks for the reply.
If I'm reading the log correctly it looks the problem is with mplex. I need to see if there is a log separate log for that. I just have mplex in the besweet folder as suggested in the docs. Maybe I should change the path in the cfg to the fully installed version. The 350 can play the DVD mpeg fine but there is no sound. It seems it would be possible to decode the audio and play out the computers audio since I use that anyway without trying to recompress it back into the 350. Either way, this is not a bad compromise if I can get it working.

I would recommend "-f 8" for the arguement to mplex as this, I believe, makes a more compliant stream. This is the flag cuttermaran uses and i have had no problems when using mplex on converted DVD's or de-commericialised recordings,
Colin.

According to the mplex help, -f 8 is for creating a DVD output, which may be the way to go for someone using a PVR 350 but I think may be a problem for people that want to use a MVP where you need an MPEG 2 stream. The help says -f 3 creates a "generic mpeg".
Since the plug-in is in debug mode and didn't delete the out put files you could try running the mplex step manually from a command window and see what it says. The command line being used is given in the log file (mplex -f 3 -o "D:\Rips\Dieanotherday D1 Ps.mpg" "C:\Temp\audio.mp2" "C:\Temp\video.m2v") I have also built a version of the plugin that lets you specify the command line in the config.xml file so that you can try different options (like -f 8 if you'd like). I would like some people to play with it before I post it. You can email me if you'd like a copy. Jeff

Also, to the earlier post jwells, I had the same problem myself. I fixed it by running DVDDecrypter on my main machine and setting the options (unsed Tools..Settings..General) for all the prompts to off. That is, uncheck the box for "Display Maximum File Size Warning", "Display RCE Protection Warning", etc. With these unchecked it now runs without prompting me for input.
For the post by andrew m , the reason I asked about the name of the DVD is that in the released version, if a disk is found but its volume name is blank the plug-in will fail when starting the Decrypt step, which looks like may be waht is goin on with you. I have a beta version that will use a generic name for the output file in this case. I know you've been having trouble registering. ou can mail me at jefflmailbox-dvd@yahoo.com if you'd like a beta. Jeff

When I run (mplex -f 3 -o "D:\Rips\Dieanotherday D1 Ps.mpg" "C:\Temp\audio.mp2" "C:\Temp\video.m2v" from a command window it says:
INFO: [] mplex version 2.2.2 ($Date: 2003/05/13 20:27:15 $ **ERROR: [] File C:\Temp\audio.mp2 unrecogniseable! INFO [] File C:\Temp\video.m2v looks like an MPEG Video Stream. **ERROR: [] Unrecogniseable file(s)... exiting I verified the files are there. Any ideas?

Regarding the prompts: That seems to have worked.
