I've just uploaded a version to the wiki which hopefully fixes the Vista incompatibility.

Cheers.

I'll check I uploaded the right one.

EDIT: I've remembered that one of the pre-release testers mentioned a problem but it worked when he downloaded the latest version of Community 3.

Quote:scan for now/ next only appears to do anything if I am already playing a station. it then barfs after a few minutes, back to the desktop.

However, the very first time I did a scan now/next, it worked perfectly.
I think I mentioned somewhere you need to be playing a station. I was in two minds about leaving this function in the public release - I'll eventually remove the button and do things behind the scenes.

I can't quite see what happened from the logs other than the plugin lost contact with the Dvbtr.exe (the bit that does all the radio stuff). This happens to me occasionally and is on my todo list. Disclaimer - beta code. Smile

Thanks for the feedback - I'll be doing quite a bit of work on the code over the next few days (between jobs at the moment) so hopefully I'll get things a bit more stable.

Cheers,
Brian

bgowland Wrote:OK - it was using the USB2 tuner again. Can you try the approach that you mentioned in a previous post. Start three recordings, then cancel the two on the PCI cards then try a test as you have been. If it displays the same behaviour then obviously it's not specific to the USB2 device.

Also, if it does hang on changing MUX with the PCI Novas, let me know which version of the Nova drivers you're using. Also if you have Graphedit, open the Dvbtr.grf graph (in the Graphs sub-folder of the plugin) and let me know which audio decoder it's using (probably clutching at straws with this one).

Cheers,
Brian

Some good news.

The problem with "No tuners available" has been fixed.

The attached logs are for TV recordings on one PCI tuner and on the USB tuner and the Radio using the other PCI tuner. It still hangs when I change mux.

The drivers I have installed are PCI = 25351 and USB = 25082. I can't find a later USB driver. The latest PCI driver I have found is 26109. I'll install that later and try again but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

The dvbtr.grf shows the Nvidia Purevideo audio decoder.

Keep on truckin'

You could try them but I was mostly just curious to see if you had the same drivers as me. Later drivers aren't always better - I haven't changed mine since Jan 2007. It could be that your drivers have a different behaviour to mine. It could be that the latest will fix that problem....

You could try the MPA audio decoder from this post - it's the one I'm using. http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=15

We've got two choices (I think) - either it's a driver issue or the audio decoder is barfing when the stream changes.

Brian

Hey ho!

Still hangs with MPA decoder.

I'll tinker with drivers tomorrow.

For what it's worth -- the symptoms haven't changed at all in the various changes that you have made. I click on the channel icon, I click on Play, there is about two seconds of silence, then one second of sound from the channel that I am leaving, then silence.

Yes, an upgrade to the latest version of CS3 would be required.

Could you (did you) check the dvbtr.grf file to make sure the MPA decoder was used. I don't specify the decoder - it's possible the Nvidia decoder took priority.

I did check and the .grf did have the MPA decoder.

OK - I can't think of anything else. I've been through your various logs a few times and I still can't see a reason why everything just stops.

Let me know if updating the drivers helps.

Brian,

Thanks for the fantastic support, it is working beautifully for me now. And, after a quick edit of the channels.csv, looks good too!

Great plugin!
