Back to more serious support, tuckster to answer your question there won't be a public beta because mvpmcx2 right now is private for GBPVR users and I don't announce it anywhere else.

If you are interested in being a beta tester that is fine, PM me your email address but you might want to check for family acceptance of the idea first. I try to make beta releases that are reasonably solid but sometimes I break things and there could be a few updates in a day when I am on a roll.

Thanks for the help... I didn't understand his reply until you encouraged me to go back and read the message more closely. Then I lol'ed. Smile

Any update on this repair? Is it part of the latest version? I've noticed that this problem seems to occur for me mostly on recorded programs longer than 30 minutes.

AFAIK, this problem is addressed in the latest version.

Unfortunately, I am still having problems with this. I installed the latest version and I am still having issues. The problems occur mostly on files larger than 1 hour and after using skip a few times playback stops and I am sent back to the recordings menu.

I can try to duplicate my problems and post logs, but I'm not sure where to find the logs. Are they in my GBPVR logs or are they elsewhere? Which log do I need to post? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Logs attached.

I recorded the Super Bowl last night. I tried to skip from the beginning of the file to the last 30 minutes or so. I wanted to watch the end of the game only. The skip function was sending me all over the place and eventually skipped to the end of the file and sent me back to the menu. I never was able to effectively navigate the file.

Is this just a bad .ts file? If so, any recommendation on how to change this? I'm recording using unencrypted QAM on a HVR-1600.

I finally copied the file to an external hard drive and watched it with no problems on my laptop with windows media player (Windows 7). Time line seemed to be working correctly in WMP.

I have noticed that the skipping problems occur most frequently on recordings longer than 1 hour.

Please let me know if I have something set up incorrectly or if there is something I can change to avoid these problems. Thanks.

As I was cheering for the Colts, missing the last 30 minutes would not have been a bad thing.

Unfortunately with your logging set at Info I don't see anything that can help in your log. You need to be running 1.4.7 with the patches installed by NMTInstall including the current version of mvpmcx2 to work around a bug in GBPVR that is more likely to manifest itself in bigger files.

I'll try this again, the wife had problems with an American Idol recording last night. I think I have the right logs this time. Are my problems setup related, .ts file corrupted or other?
