I thought I'd give you an update on mvpmcx3, the next emulation mode client for the Syabas A200 and C200 machines. This 4 min. video, (my first in 2Mb HD) on YouTube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_bKITQbP-M

In the current state as you can see, you get primarily get the GBPVR UI and if you play a video it will launch the PCH player after a delay and then you have an option to return to GBPVR. You can't do LiveTV but you can watch Recordings in Progress. I've tested ATSC, QAM, HD-PVR and analog records without issue so far. The first recording in the demo was an HD-PVR recording in HD from my cable STB. Audio and Net Radio playback using this interface is not really practical.

There is a bit of a lag playing through the HDPVR but the system is at least as responsive as the current PCH clients.

Really good to hear this. I am looking into buying another NMT but will wait a while and try to keep updated on this develoment Smile
Looking really promising, but a bit laggy (at the moment). I guess this will keep progressing like the mvpmcx2 did a while back, great work Martin.

Any lags you see using GBPVR would be because of the capture card. However the long delay is on playing video and right now that is unavoidable. I don't see the A200/C200 development being like the 100 series, at this point I am having many significant difficulties integrating everything together. I think at this point GBPVR is a possible additional feature for PCH 200 users and not the best reason for buying one last generation.

I figured I've been fairly quiet for a while so I thought I'd give another a/v update

1. The Good.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzaMKgnZ4tg

This demo starts off with the working audio from the music library and web radio. After that I show some LiveTV first some OTA ATSC 1920x1080i change to firewire mpeg-ts and then standard analog with a few channel changes. Considering that HD OTA is recorded from GBPVR to the PCH to my HDPVR and then to YouTube I think you can tell the quality is more than reasonable.

2. The Bad.

The delays are mine although there is an extra delay when I noticed my I knocked my antenna out when I hooked up the HDPVR

3. The Ugly

I've been stuck at this for over a week now. I can play video and have complete control talking to GBPVR, but I can't figure out why I can't get the GBPVR UI back after playing video. After perhaps 40 hours, I might not be able to do any better.
