Thanks roy. A couple of questions, when you start the second file do you get a resume prompt? Also do you hit Stop to stop or do you have the old habit of using another key?

A couple of questions, when you start the second file do you get a resume prompt?I can't say for sure this time, but I think that the problem usually occurs when the file has not reset the resume point. For example, if it plays to the end, so resume should be gone, it is still there. Or, if I stop a recording before the end, so resume should be there, it is not. Again, I can't say for sure that this is exact, but I have noticed this and suspected it as an indicator of the problem. I will try to pay closer attention to it. Also, I'm referring to the resume button on the details pop up, not the resume prompt pop up, which I don't use in recordings, only for videos I think. Quote: Also do you hit Stop to stop or do you have the old habit of using another key?I don't think I ever use stop. I use the back/exit/return button to quit a recording, because it works and is the same key to back out of menus and pop ups (like esc on the keyboard)
What, me worry?

Regarding resume, I have confirmed the following - when a recording with a previous resume point is watched to the end on the PC, resume is no longer available (unwatch is still available). When the same recording with a previous resume point is watched to the end on pch, previous resume point is still available. So it seems pch may not properly reset the playback position to eliminate the resume option?

I am not seeing any problems in a contrived test, except at end of file, but it looks like it is being saved okay. One thing I have noticed is your jumps start off good but eventually the are almost all ~5 seconds long and I don't see that here. Can I see one of the Timing.Info that you were using. If you still have The Office_20110304_22002230.ts or some of the others. If not the next time I would like the Timing.Info file.

When playing recordings on the PCH, I have found that when we let the recording play to the end of the file (and stop on its own), sometimes the resume point (at the end of the file) gets saved and sometimes it doesn't. We haven't been able to determine what makes the difference or how to recreate the problem at will. We we use the stop button to end play back before it gets all the way to the end of the file, the resume point seems to be save every time. (Note that we would like for the resume point to be saved because then the recording shows the checked icon in TV Recordings to indicate that at least one of us has watched the recording.)

The position is not in mvpmcx2's control. I am waiting for sub http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post405842 My testing was limited but these resuts seemed consistent.

Maybe this can be utilized in TV Recordings.
