There isnt any documentation about the database, but it's a pretty simple structure so take a look in the EPG_EVENT and CHANNEL tables, and you should pretty quickly see how things work. If you have any questions, ask them in the developers forum and I'm sure we can give you the info you're looking for.

The full source to NEWA and NEWA web services is available in the DataDirectory\web folder. Rather than manipulating the database directly, you might want to use the NPVR Scheduling API as shown in the source code.

The TVListings plugin supports genre.

I would like the option to search for a show without typing. I have setup the Logitech remote to control the whole NPVR experiance, but SearchLite forces me to pickup the keyboard. Would be nice to have it the old GBPVR search style if possible... That was for sure good enough for 99% of my uses.

I'v been able to type letters to SearchLite from day one, the cellphone-way. But I'm using HIP, maybe it does it for me...

You probably mapped numbers to the NumPad, if you use Keyboard numbers they should be old school text. Hitting Ctrl-F or FF will allow you to use 1-6 to cycle through 8859-1 accented characters.

Pausing live TV doesn't work for me. When hitting play and nothing else after having paused for a while it jumps forward several minutes depending on length of the pause.

Are you using ctrl-q for pause/resume?
