Sony video card (ENX-26) support?

i checked task manager and saw that nRecord was ended, as you saw from the log, even though i'm using Exit from the NPVR Service in my system tray. i manually ended it, restarted all, and now it shows only the most recent session. here are new attachments

If it had been running the whole time, then it wouldnt have let you replace Unmanaged.dll, since the file was in use.

i didn't actually delete the old one, just renamed it and kept it in place. i'm surprised it let me rename it since it was still running. but it was still running - i saw all the same log entries covering numerous starts of the app

i'll recreate all from scratch, meaning i'll delete all from my download folder and redownload, i'll delete all from the NPVR folder before adding new file, i'll check task manager to make sure all is ended, then i'll restart, close down, and attach logs...

kk, did soup to nuts as described and have attached the new logs. also attached the version of "unmanaged.dll" that in my NPVR folder so you can check it...

What mpeg video decoder are you using? I don't see one in the graph and instead of
"about to load decoder" I see "Unable to find named decoder"

I think that may be the crux of the problem - I'm not able to select a decoder, I'm not given the option. I can select an audio decoder, I have, and I now get audio. Attached is my AnalogDevice.xml file.

That log looks much better and now shows the new long messages. It appears to now be correctly using the hardware encoder on this device. Previously it was falling back to soft encoding.

Now it just looks like you havent selected an MPEG2 decoder on the Settings -> Decoders screen.

If no decoders are listed, then you probably dont have one installed.

I should add that I set lines 1 and 4 based on some of the old postings that folks led me to, and came from my reading of the filter file. Line 2, the device "name", was something that snooze felt would be correct, but isn't driven by interpretations of the filter output. In case it's helpful I'm attaching the output from the filter check I ran awhile back...
