1. any tuner supported by Windows Media Center using SageMCETuner
2. firewire tuners using SageGraphRecord
3. any card which can be controlled with a DirectShow graph and external tuner using SageGraphRecord
4. DRI tuners using SageDCT
5. Dreambox
6. DVBViewer supported tuners.

I wouldn't expect anything less of you Martin. Unfortunately due to home circumstances I have not had a chance yet to even begin installing and experimenting with your Network Recorder. Needless to say I have been very excited about it since I 1st saw it entered on the wiki. I don't think it complicates anything, it makes (from what I can see) NextPVR even more flexible/configurable. I cannot wait to try it out...... and of course ask loads of questions on the thread about it!!! Wink

Ok this is what I have and using

Windows 7

Hauppauge

1600 - PCI (QAM, ATSC, Analog HW) -- using analog only and working

PVR500 Dual Tuner (comes up in device manager as 23xxx) -- not working in NPVR shows up as a Capture Card PCI II

I cannot find this card in the analogdevice.xml file either, any help would be great.

I tried to use the PVR500 but recordings and play back are really bad blocking video capture any idea?

thanks

http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ugeSoftPVR

You already read the great Wiki and installed the SoftPVR Components? Those are necessary for analog tuners within npvr.

Yes I did I had installed the SoftPVR when I instaled the 1600 card and had everything working in the npvr, then I move the PVR500 card out of my GBPVR system that it worked fine in to my npvr. Building a new npvr system and testing while keeping my GBPVR online with the PVR500. NPVR see the PVR500 card in the device list so my question is does it need to be added to the deviceanalog.xml file for it to work correctly since it is a dual tuner card that is not in the xml file?

Yes to make sure I ran the SoftPVR again with no luck, when I try to watch a recording with the PVR500 while it is recording I get a black screen thought I would add that note just in case some one has seen this already.

I have been running with two tuners for a while using a Nova-S Plus as the main, and because the machine I am using has only one PCI slot, a Nova-S USB2 as the second.

This was under XP Pro + SP3 + updates and the relevent, latest, Haupage drivers.

However, I have found that in this combination the USB adapter doesnt record reliably when the machine comes out of hibernation or standby and that either you have to fully shut down the machine between recordings or use a USB reset tool that often forces a reboot anyway.

Now using a different machine with two PCI cards and much happier :-)
