It complains that it is missing MusicBox4.xml, which it indeed also does. I have tried creating a dummy (empty) file at the location it indicates to maybe seed it, but to no avail.

Delete the Plugin\MusicBox4 folders in both the DataDirectory and "Program Files" Directory and then re-install from the installer on the wiki http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?....MusicBox4. Running the installer should create the XML and empty database. If it still fails, is it possible you have and old install of GBPVR on this PC with a pointer to and old ML2 or ML3 database? If so repeat the above but temporarily rename the GBPVR config.xml first. If it still fails send all the logs.

After installation configuration uses the Right Click config menus.

Hi Martin.

It actually never creates any subdirectory in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins

This install is new and old. It's a copy of the program and data folders from my previous installation to a brand new fresh install on top of the old directories on an otherwise fresh W7 installation.

Renaming the config.xml made no difference, except the fact that it crfeated an empty config.xml during installation.

The right-click config menus are the ones that throws an exception when trying to save, complaining that the MusicBox4.xml-file is missing... Undecided

Thank you for looking into this.

The config.xml I wanted you to rename would have been for GBPVR not NPVR, but it doesn't sound like you have GBPVR on this box. Do you have any Music libraries set up in NPVR?

I thought the "GBPVR" part was an old habit typo :o But you are right, that there is no GBPVR installed here. Also, there is no other music libraries installed. I have simply copied the nPVR directories from the old machine, and then yesterday I was looking at the current pool of plugins.

I installed TV-Listings (successfully) and then I attempted installing this one. I have attached my config.xml if that helps any, but I don't think so, since renaming it made no difference.

Just regenerated the error and copied the jit-debug output (attached).

The very first thing that MB4 does when it starts up is create the folder if it is not found. Could you disable TV Listing (just rename the folder to "_TV Listings" and restart NPVR and send the logs.

Hi Martin.

I have done what you requested, and also made screenshots of the installation window.

I noticed, that the installation script does not even attempt to install to C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins\MusicBox4, which is where it complains about the missing files.

In stead, it installs e.g. MusicBox.xml into C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Skin\Default\MusicBox4 along with several other xml files. Is that right?

That is correct.

With your current setup, have you tried starting NPVR and opening Settings. Do you see " - Music Box" under Plugins?

Yes - it is there, but prevents me from saving anything as per post #40. I can escape out of settings, but even if I don't even try to attempt to access the plugin settings, I get the error thrown...

OK - so maybe recreate the error with your current setup and post your logs (and the jit error).
