I installed the AC3Filter, as suggested.

Also, more channels have their EPG programming listed - I'm not sure why more have them today than yesterday - must be magic. But some still don't and I don't know why (maybe channel numbers or call letters don't match? But that makes no sense since some channels aren't even called out in the xml file, yet the EPG grabbed them anyway - somehow it found them). Oh, well.

I still can't maneuver backwards and forwards after I pause, then resume play. Do I have to open anything special to do this? I figure I should just be able to click on the green slider bar to go backward or forward. Do I have to open the .ts file in another application in order to make it work? What setting or configuration would keep this from working? Thank you.

You can't navigate by clicking the timeline. One of the biggest problems is you are ignoring the wiki. Here is the keyboard reference http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...dReference

Boy, that is a bit un-intuitive (IMHO). I never would imagine that "While playing a recording" meant that it applied to a paused-and-unpaused current LiveTV session (especially since all mp3 and mpg players today have a slider that actually works - who figured this one doesn't?). The words ("While playing a recording") themselves imply that it is applicable when playing a video FILE or a DVD or a movie or a YouTube, etc. Okay - learn something new every day. Thanks.

You can always get an account and help improve the wiki.

I thought we were supposed to be able to navigate by clicking the timeline now? I've never done it since I only use NPVR with a remote, but I thought that was added a release or two ago.

It sounds like you haven't mapped your channels to the xml file, and it's just grabbing EPG data for some channels from the broadcast stream (that's what it does by default if you've not done the mapping). You need to go to the channels screen and click Details for one channel, assign the EPG file and map the channel, then click the Bulk Map button and map the rest.

I do that, but there are some channels for which there are no mapping channel names, so I selected "select to browse for xmltv file" and select my "xmltv.xml" file in the c:\EPG folder. Doesn't work. I don't know why some channels just don't show up - the main broadcast channels appear in the listing, but not all of them. I don't know why.

You need to change the EPG Source field to XMLTV first. For that small number of channels you may find it easier to understand if you just click each channel individually and go to "Details" rather than using the Bulk Map screen.

I think the "select to browse for xmltv file" entry isn't supposed to be there; it may be a left-over from the early days.
