Thanks I agree and will post something in a few hours. In the worst case renaming with the new logic will have the name subtitle plus a S#E# from the week of the recording plus the NextPVR subtitle, likely no more cryptic the the recording date/time

Here is a beta test version of imageGrabLite with a few improvements

- handles TV Series (year) differences better. If you have incorrect meta data for some shows delete Media\Shows\TVSeries.* and Plugins\Searchlite\Series\TVSeries.xml
- provides renaming using "week" matching for first run episodes if you use the --zap2it command line option
- rename filename inside VideoRedo projects
- new command line option --extra to add the OID to the the log files. You are responsible for cleaning these up.

If you use TV Listings note that it some advanced matching features available in North America aren't available.

Won't know about the rename on shows with years until early next week, but my first show I ran with the new version did not change the name inside the VideoReDo file.

Logs as always would certainly help. Also I'd like the vprj file if it fails, but it is likely I had a case problem on the extension, try the attached

Note you can use the following as a "do over"

imageGrabLite --oid ### --reset
imageGrabLite --oid ### --rename --zap2it

I didn't include the log since all it showed was everything being peachy.

Okay, so I took the attached, and tried the reset. It didn't rename back properly - the time portion should have been "02000301" but was "02000000". So when I tried the --rename again, it renamed all the files but didn't get the VPrj change. So I did the reset again, edited the VPrj file to have "02000000", and then did the --rename. This time, all the files were renamed, and the VPrj file had the proper name in it.

So, we'll see what happens for real tonight, but it looks like your thought about the case problem was correct. Thanks.

Right, I forgot the reset only approximates the original name, but you figured out the test process.

Okay, tonight all the VPrj files got fixed for the new names, so looks like you caught that one.

Two shows didn't get renamed - 30 Rock, and Rob. Attached are your logs. The SearchLite xml file for 30 Rock doesn't have this episode name although thetvdb.com did when I checked. There is no file for Rob in the SearchLite directory or Media\Shows.

For Rob, there is a skip file meaning that it is being ignored delete Plugins\SearchLite\Skips\Rob.xml and try that again.

For 30 Rock could you send me C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media/Shows/30 Rock.xml

Okay, deleted skip file for Rob, and got a different message. Log is attached. Skip file was recreated.

Oh, and something else I meant to ask about. I don't know how difficult it might be, but since you added in the code for replacing the name in the VPrj file (and thanks again for that), have you thought of doing the same with the hidden metadata.xml that is attached to each recording? I've recently been running with the switch in the config file to create a separate xml which made me think about it.
