Thanks reven, unfortunately it did not work. I followed your instructions but as soon as I put the unzipped NPVR addon (sub3-xbmc-pvr-addons-573ca4d) in the "/home/pi/.xbmc/addons" directory XMBC start crashing/bootloops.

Am I putting it in the wrong directory?

dont unzip the addon directly, just copy the zip to your home directory "home/pi" (i personally create a directory called "xbmc-addons" in that directory for my standard addons i use) then go to
system -> addons -> install from zip
and select the zip file and xbmc should install it correctly

FYI, BrainStormer provided a new RPi version tonight that should work with the XBMC version you guys are running. He is still working hard on a version to make it 'API 1.3' compatible (Newest Frodo Builds.)

reven, it is still not working. However, you are writing that you are reverting to 922 but the instructions refers to "xbmc-rbp-20120929.tar.gz" I guess I should try with "xbmc-rbp-20120922.tar.gz" instead?

I just did a quick test before I left for work this morning and now I used the 10/03/2012 build with 929. But before I had tried the 10/01/2012 on 929 build with the same behaviour.

Quote:Raspberry Pi Builds by BrainStormer:
•Build 10/03/2012 - sub3-xbmc-pvr-addons-262683a (NOTE: Only use with Frodo Builds before Sept 25th)
•Build 10/01/2012 - sub3-xbmc-pvr-addons-573ca4d

What happens is that my Pi boots into XMBC, quickly displays the main confluence background, then turns white with the text "Relax, XMBC will start shortly", a big Raspberry displays on black bacground, back to the confluence bacground, etc, etc.

I will try to capture the logs tonight and see if I can see what is going wrong or do you see something obvious?

personally i would reflash it with RC5 and try the latest rpi npvr addon. if that doesnt work, revert to 929 and try the earlier addon. that should work fine, basically all i did.

Out of curiosity, how long from power on to TV Guide or viewing a recording?? (for me to compare to an NMT booting up and connecting).
On the Pi that is
