I have removed 1.2.9 and updated to 1.2.10 to deal with several DST issues in the code.

Edit make the 1.2.11, I had broken Native playback when I added Timeshifting.

It's primarily a skinning question. Right now x-newa let the player's default skin control playback and so I don't have access to keyboard or remote actions. If I launched my own skin the I could do it. The only time I have x-newa take control is when you exit back to the EPG window with the ridiculously small inset video at the bottom left. I can make a skin that looks the same as the default player, or even copy the XBMC PVR skin with the larger inset window.

For now I am trying to keep only basic and limited functionality in the player, to see how people react to using the XBMC PVR player. I know XBMC people like XBMC PVR, but it hasn't grown on me like I thought it would. When all the dust settles on Frodo after the alphas and experimentals and betas I will better idea of where I want to go.

I have uploaded a new version of X-NEWA 1.3.0 (link in first post) with the following new features.

- EPG Genre Colouring linked the NextPVR colours that are in NexvtPVR Setup>Misc2->Genre Coloring
- Update of recurring recordings no enabled
- New settings option to link played recordings to xbmc libraries. Of course this needs properly named files. Doesn't work on files using advancedrules.xml translation.

NEWA 1.30 is also required for this update. Thanks once again to UJB for all his help.

This is pretty good! Well done! I'm using it in concert with sub's plugin. I need more functionality (PVR side) that he currently offers and this fits right in.

I'm seeing a little jitter on fullscreen and a couple of times it's taken over xbmc such that I've had to force quit. I'm testing on a reliately low end mac mini running Win 7 (1.83 core 2 duo w/Intel graphics). It does play 1080 mkv's and runs the native NPVR client acceptably.

I'll check it out on something a little better soon.

Unfortunately sub is limited by what the xbmc pvr interface provides, and it is seriously lacking, when you are used to NextPVR.

If you have stuttering in live tv and not recordings it could be a buffering problem, xbmc doesn't like to be close to the end of file and the only way out of this might be trying Timeshifting mode in X-NEWA. If it is recordings too, and the files are not on the local machine, if you aren't getting them via a share using a share. The demux reacts differently.
