This is great. I don't suppose you have a plugin for generic hardware WDM encoder tuners? It would be great, if you are able to make a graph that outputs mpeg, then it would work.

Thanks,
Greg

Hey Greg,

I read the whole thread you posted on your card, and by the looks of it, you should just be able to edit the config-recorders.xml file to enable you card's video and audio encoder. Your graph looks exactly the same as a graph created by this plugin (with different filter names, etc), so it should 'just-work'™.

I tried doing that, but I don't think I did it right. The screen is black and I get popping sounds. I'll try again tonight and take a look. I post a screen shot of the config gui.

Thanks,
Greg

Still the same. All I get is a black screen with this putering static. I attached a screen capture of the config. Since you saw my thread on the Maui-I, does this look right? Canada wasn't a choice in the country selection. I'm not sure if that was the problem.

Thanks,
Greg

That looks good. Can you use GraphEdit to attach to the running graph (or load up lastgraph.grf), and take a screenshot. It should be the same as the last one you posted.

I just installed GBPVR and the SoftwareRecorder Plugin and the Moonlight-Elecard Encoder plugin. However when I go to configure through gbpvr-config, there is no option to select the encoder. What do I need to edit to get the options there so I can record?

Well, the graph doesn't look the same in lastgraph. Wrong capture device and no video encoder or mux.

ggee: It's the right capture device (you can see via the number, type and names of pins -also it should have the same properties dialog), I just happen to call it something different.

You should try turning LiveTV's Preview mode off, because I think preview mode expects non-mpeg2 encoded video. The Timeshifting mode expects mpeg2 so it should work much better.

BigRedFed: this is a known issue with v4 of the encoders, you should be able to fix it by editing the config-recorders.xml and changing regex for the video/audio/mux settings to something like this:
<VideoEncoderRegex>Video Encoder</VideoEncoderRegex>
<AudioEncoderRegex>Audio Encoder</AudioEncoderRegex>
<MuxerRegex>Mux|Multiplexer</MuxerRegex>
