Unfortunately, no. You and I have almost identical setups (tuner wise) and this is one of the sacrifices you are going to have to make. I've long since requested decoder settings on a per tuner basis to be implemented but that is clearly going to be a monumental task for sub. Unless sub has changed his mind recently I wouldn't expect such an undertaking anytime soon.

What are the specs of your video card? Underpowered video cards will exhibit tearing (acegolfer's MX440, my old ATI 7000 for example) in VMR9 mode which puts you in a difficult position. I'd say try testing the stability of the F5 in VMR9 despite the quality issues just to see if the box will stop crashing.

i tried overlay mode with the f5 and had no luck -- exact same result, BSOD Stop message.

my video card is an onboard radeon 9100 igp -- not ultra powerful, but capable. i believe that's why i get tearing with vmr9. i've also read that this chipset isn't fully 100% with directX 9.

Torque Wrote:Pov, try forcing GBPVR to use timeshift mode instead of live TV. That was the only way I could use the F5 USB version in GBPVR. If I tried to watch Live TV, I could watch it initially, but if I changed channel or exited to the main menu and then tried to watch it again, the computer would blue screen with a IRQ error.

i tried this as well, also to no avail. i still get the BSOD with a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP message.

Crap. I just got a BSOD or what I think was a BSOD since my TV didn't display the message but the HTPC rebooted while watching HDTV via the fusion app. The only thing I can think of that I did differently was that I enabled DxVA. I've heard rumblings that the fusion app can cause the PC to BSOD when using DxVA but I really didn't pay attention to that info since it wasn't a problem for me.

Sigh...
