Code:
You must run the "HDHomeRun Manager" from the start menu after installing.
It will show the HDHomeRun icon in the notification area - double click to
open and then click "Install All" to install BDA drivers.

It's easy to miss this because it's at the top of the page, followed by the download link, and then more complete installation instructions which for some reason don't include this bit where pertinent.

If you follow the instructions, the drivers name will get change to reflect your device id, and then GBPVR should work.

I did run HDHR manager. INSTALL ALL is greyed out.
Already Installed:
hdhomerun_win32_20070211beta5.msi
hdhomerun_firmware_20070219.bin
VLC works.
GB-PVR doesn't.
Any other suggestions?

In the HDHomeRun Manager what does the BDA status show?

I sounds like you have an installer problem. The uBDA reference in the directshow driver name is what I saw before clicking the Install All button.

Remember, VLC doesnt use the BDA drivers, so its not going to be affected by the BDA drivers not being installed correctly.

After upgrading to the latest firmware, I can now get one tuner working.
Currently tuner 0 status is cranking out 12.62 Mbps.

I am in the process of testing consecutive recordings and channel changes. In the past, it would often terminate recording of the second channel.

Still haven't figured out how to get both tuners operating on the same machine.

TIA!

Try running with <BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser> set in the config.xml to see if it helps. Remember to set it back to 'true' if you need to scan for channels though.

Thanks!
Will try it.

if you need to scan for channels I presume that to mean when doing CONFIG, correct?

Currently, have had a modest success with scheduled recordings. Since interruptions have occurred, trashing the file, I can't claim 100% success.

Playing the recorded dvr-ms streams on my various computers have provided me with some data on the minimum gpu needed.

Between HDHomeRun and this forum, I have been endeavoring to get my HTPC running. I was told that my integrated graphics processor and / or underpowered gpu is "craptastic" and/or inadequate for LIVE HDTV. However, when viewing dvr-ms on various players, I have had reasonable success with IGPs, as well as low end gpus (Radeon 7000 and MX440). The cpu utilization is quite low (10 - 15%).

However, when running VLC, the alleged lackluster gpu performance burdens the cpu. Likewise, when running GB-PVR in Live TV mode, the display is impaired, though not as bad as VLC. (Excessive frame drops, judder, audio sync problems).

In the signal chain from HDHR to display, why would that be?
Stream to dvr-ms file doesn't incur a hit on performance.
Likewise, viewing dvr-ms file doesn't incur a hit on performance, either.
Baffled, I am.

Yes, like if you need to recreate you capture source or do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' etc.

Phew!

Update - so far, no crashes (fingers crossed flag on).
Hopefully, this resolves the recording interruptions, as well.

Thanks!

Did anybody tried the MediaMVP with the HDHomerun and GBPVR. The HD channel might not work, how about the SD channel?
