yip it will work with XP Pro
just plug it in
some people load the Hip drivers
but you dont actually need to you just need to Hip or the like to use the start button on the remote everything else works natively

Melloware Wrote:For an easier solution to map your MCE remote or Creative remote to use GBPVR you might want to look at Intelliremote. It is vastly simpler than EventGhost and Hip yet much more powerful and easy to configure. Want to start GBPVR with the Green Button? No problem. Want to have one set of remote mappings for GBPVR and a completely different set when you are in Itunes? No Problem. Intelliremote will even notice when you change applications and switch remote profiles for you.

Check it out...

Are there any IR Receivers/Transmitters that are compatible with Intelliremote besides the USB-UIRT?

Thanks

Intelliremote supports about 40 different hardware IR/RF remotes and has an iPod/iPhone client for the ultimate solution HTPC remote controller.

You can look in our User Manual PDF for all supported remotes.

p.s. I am from Philly too, and a huge Phillies Phan!!! I still can't believe we have won something. Smile

Sub did warn Melloware at one point that some of his posts were bordering on spam and he stopped immediately and apologized. This last post was a direct reply to a question regarding Intelliremote so I see no issue with it.

As an unconnected third party I have to say, the iPhone addon for Intelliremote is what finally sold my wife on the whole HTPC idea (and the fact that I bought her an iPhone). I had to create a proper configuration for GBPVR (which they've included in the latest profiles) but once I did, it's pretty awesome. I updated the MCE remote profile as well but I don't really use it because of the Antec/IMon I'm using.
