volumes working great too...on my mvp remote..

Good, I am pleased with how well everything has come together. I had a few late nights getting HDMI to work

Quote:could we get the ch+/- mapped to page updown in things like guide?

Without adding a command line variable I don't have a way to do this. Ch+/- are Arrow up and down, like the original Hauppauge remote.

Quote:on most remotes a ch+ will page up where appropriate, really helps scrolling large lists on the slower interface...

That's what the prev and next keys do, except in the EPG (read my wish list requests to make it page in the EPG too)

Quote:and here's an interesting bit, my nmt reloads from share automatically even after yanking power....Smile

Yes, this has been available for quite a while, I hoped a user supported script would be posted, that's why I made the sticky. I'm too impatient to wait.

Quote:Great Work. now i feel like i'm really getting my money's worth out of my PCH...

That's the mvpmcx2 paradox, most NMT owners around the world, could care less about GB-PVR and most are satisfied with their purchase, many of the unsatisfied could probably still sell one on ebay without losing too much. GB-PVR users typically think it's too expensive even in the US where shipping costs aren't an issue.

ahhhh,ok, no prob on the pgup/dn thing...blue works most places. mainly the guide..
and with the mvp remote it's so snappy i don't miss it much, just on long lists in say vid library..[blue there changes mode]
i'll see what i can do with keymappings xml files..

looks like i should post my complete set of scripts, i've made them simple as possible, nearly foolproof...Smile [lol, now there's a concept] and not too bad looking, with menu choices for return to pch menus, and easily adjustable..
was thinking about a really simple helper prog to help with the edits like your installer..
i need a little cleanup on my telnet cgi but then it'll be ready to upload..
feel free to include in your installer for shares mode..
i had posted similar htm's before but in another thread, tho these are much more stable and simpler...meat of the script is only 7 lines including lircd..

sounds like some new utube videos are needed...Smile
as for cost, to me if there's not a quality user experience,it's not worth any price..
it really has moved on to be a fully featured thin client of the highest quality, more than just a mere player...
i still think they either don't know or diff. needs 'cuz have other alternatives or think it's still vaporware...
either way, as the song goes, "I'm Lovin it"

I'm going to repeat that prev/next are page up/down in the libraries, simply because I think some people don't know this. The Music plugin is cool it allows mobile keypad text navigation, which can't be beat for long lists.

I'll certainly have a look.

Sorry there won't be any more as I explained in this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=41575 it's too hard to make a good demo.

oh yea, how to show it's functionality with actual programming, without showing the actual programming...lol
maybe use PBS? or catch channel changes that only show commercials?
blur the video afterwards, leaving the interface... gets the point across, video quality is not the point...
manual feeds on mulitple cap sources feeding home movies..
late night test patterns...lol
boy, talk about the very meaning of the term 'fair use'..this is it..it's only snippets at best..
but it's probably some software flagging anything remotely similar to usefull...lol

oh and silly me, in vid library, skip ff/rw does page up/dn...Smile
and in recordings too...[unless in reoccurrings]
so forget that request...Big Grin
Rock on!

I installed the 30 May version (one prior to the 31st update) but now my wife and I notice a little "hop" (it's not a stutter, the screen just "jumps" momentarily every 3 seconds or so. It's a bit annoying, I will try the 31st version before I get logs etc. I run PAL and this is on standard PAL mpg recordings, but the TV is set to 60Hz playback on composite.

If the file has a bad timeline it would do this intentionally. Upload your logs and I will have a look. I assume you mean component out, but if you are using HDMI try tonight's update. I think you should be running 50 Mhz in general.

Hi Martin, I had another go at this today, taking the install from the first post (which I'm guesssing has been updated).

I don't get what i should be doing for skipping. I tried the old gbpvr skip and ff with no effect (either expected gbpvr skip, or popcorn hour fast forward), also had nothing happen with the time seek or the movement pad right button (for 30 sec increments).

What am I doing wrong?

Also had a play with ML3 on pch, looks pretty, but yes I can see some of pz1's playing issues show up, while I can add tracks to the playlist and they display, the playback resets to the first song (only on skip though) and then skipping picks up the new track. But it shouldn't be resetting like that. Guessing my problem not yours.

I'd confirm that you have changed config.xml to PCH2 mode ie <MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>

and that you installed the two new binaries from post one.

10/04/2009 7:33a 176,128 GBPVRRecordingService.exe
24/05/2009 12:13p 1,060,864 PVRX2.exe

My biggest problem with ML3 was how it handled incremental screen updates, I'm guessing you have this off.

Yeah not sure i had this under my control? Have you seen what we have to do to turn it on?

Ok and I've confirmed I didn't have the right PC executables, I'll try that this morning.

But if you have any links to this incremental updates thing then I'll try and get it turned on.
