These does not occur here when I try. Another user has also reported not being not being able to change channels on his GO7007SB device. I've spent a lot of time looking at GO7007SB support in recent days, and done a lot of testing, but for me it seems to change channels reliably.

You could try the latest patch from http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?a...3988;st=30 - it might help.

I tried the NativeUtilities.dll found in the thread you referenced. I was unable to start GB-PVR (the GUI) after doing so (it complained about not supporting whatever renderer I tried to use). But on a hunch, I tried starting GB-PVR using the old DLL, then swapped out the DLL, and restarted the recording service. The GUI hung when I tried to watch LiveTV, but I was able to verify that with the patch the recording service is now properly changing channels between recordings.

Any solution for the broken GUI?

As stated in that other thread, at least some of the new updates and corrections will have to wait until the next service release, as they cannot be released by method of patch download. I, too, am anxiously awaiting the new release, when every thing should be working very well. In the interim, I am using the first DLL that he posted in that thread, which works well for Divx, and I just used it for two scheduled back to back programs on different channels. It changed the channel as it was supposed to. The only DLL that gives me the VMR/overlay errors is the new one, so it may be that the earlier DLLs from that thread will not correct your channel changing problem like the last one does, you would just have to try them.

I reinstalled my entire system and changed my graphics card to a ATI 9600 based. GBPVR seems to be working fine now.
Just to let you know I was having trouble with the remote (not the fault of GBPVR - seems to be a hardware problem - angle/reflection related - same problem in winTV2k) and after reinstalling the ir software I used the new fix remote and it worked fine.
Thanks Sub.

I'm back to using 90.08. 90.10 just wasn't stable, even after I tried a fresh install. The recording service seemed to go off into la-la land. When it was supposed to record things it either never did it, or started 0-15 minutes late. If I restarted the service, it would start recording almost immediately. The gui would crash also about twice a day while using it or suddenly tell me there wasn't a capture device available to allow me to watch live tv. Restarting the recording service sometimes fixed it, but usually had to restart Windows. Also, if I hightlighted somehting in the tv guide that was currently playing and chose to record... it was hit or miss if it would ever start recording. If i did the same thing in the mini guide, it would almost always start recording within atleast 2 minutes even after I tried to do it in the TV guide.

Someone mentioned that 90.10 uses more RAM so maybe that's why it wasn't working for me as I only have (for now) 256MB and 32MB of that is used for the integrated video, so really only 224MB of System memory.

90.08 seems to record exactly when it's supposed to and will almost start recording immediately if I tell it to. Again, not sure if it's because of lack of memory or just bugs that need worked out. BTW, the CPU speed is an Athlon 2100+

THX for the effort again Sub.
The warning about the backing up was no idle one [Image: smile.gif]. I had to set it back again to have my source and channels installed again.
(I'm not complaining here, I'm very well aware of the fact that I'm part of community in development.)
So on 23.XX I had no TV guide. Now I cannot view live TV nor record, and have to repair the remote [Image: smile.gif].
From what I gather from others it'sproblably the best to make a clean install. I really would hate that, going through the procedure of doing the channels again,. So if there are any other suggestions, I would hartily welcome them. If not I will re-install tomorrow again, and after that I will set myself on designing some logo's.
cheers, arttext

Sub, I upgraded (and love it!Wink to the latest version and now it literally takes 60 seconds for GB-PVR to start up. Is this now normal?

No, it's not normal (unless you're trying to run on 128mb of memory).

Email your gbpvr.exe.log file to me at support@devnz.com . Its got timestamps on all the log messages, so it should be fairly easy to spot where the delay is.
