What LCD Plugin or Utility to use these days?

the ntime error? did you try any cmdline options? [like "status2.exe anything"]
that would popup a box showing tuners it could find...but i guess only if it runs..
gotta be careful playing with the tuners in config too much, can mess db up..which may already be the problem..
a snapshot of the gpvrtray app [opened] would really be most helpfull..

yea, it sounds like something's not right in db, so backup recordings info, backup db, copy empty.db3 over gbpvr.db3 and re-setup your cap sources and reimport recordings/season records..but only as last resort..it's a lot of work...
i usually do that just after deciding my cap card setup anyways, just to clear out any messing around i'd done when re-arranging cap sources..
i'm not totally positive there's something wrong with it, so up to you...

a screen cap of tray app opened, or info from "status2-3 test" popup would tell me more about what's really goin on..[tray app's where cap info comes from]

I backed up as you said, and replaced empty.db3 to gbpvr.db3 (was at 25mb in size). Resetup my cature sources. I still got the same error as I posted before. Now gbpvr.db3 is under 14mb. I wish I was on a weight loss program like that!

I then opened GBPVR and went into Recordings and found this:
Now the recurring showed where as they did not before, but pending still empty. I went back and looked through recurring to see if anything was obviously wrong... I did find 3 Identical listings for "Flying Alaska" for 1-14-2011, and it did not record that night either. I remember I was having a heck of a time adding it in the TV Guide as a recording. So I deleted all but one, updated EPG and all the pending now show up. So I exited GBPVR, restarted Status2-3 (I renamed it to Status2) and everything is looking good now. Only used tuners are showing.

One question, and maybe you don't use it to know. When playing a ISO file from video library, it shows "G:" (daemon mounted drive) and that is all, not DVD title or anything. Is that intended behavior? Maybe it is the version of Daemon Tools Lite I am using? No big deal, just wondering if I should update Daemon Tools Lite or something.

problem is, it only reads those lines on startup...any changes and smartie has to be reloaded..
hmmm,tho it does change if changed inside ui on the fly, so maybe i can work something there..
[force a reload of ini when data needs changing..]

Oh, I did have a thought for you (us when I get it to stay on during standby). I was wondering if you tried something I was thinking of.

I use MCE Standby Tool with its add-on Tool to run Scripts on suspend and resume. I was thinking setting up two folders with LCD Smartie in them:

On suspend, the suspend script would kill LCD Smartie 1 and Start LCD Smartie 2 with a different message, Maybe just a static message on what is coming up next. I think I seen you already created one on screen 6 of your config file for smartie.

On resume, the resume script would kill LCD Smartie 2 and Start LCD Smartie 1 with your screen 2 in config enabled again...

Sounds like it should work and it wouldnt require writing to the config file.

i tried mce standby tool and it does kinda work, but you don't have nearly enough time to restart smartie..
easier to just switch to page and kill it, then restart on wake..
and even that doesn't work all the time, tho i haven't tried my policy setting ['allow programs to delay suspend' or something like that]

if i can get a way to detect away mode then i can use that to do anything, with as much time as we wish..
problem wit away mode is it disables ability to get power msgs while in away mode..have to set away mode before anything tries to sleep machine, then you never notified when something does try to sleep machine...so don't know to suspend..
i saw something about how to detect it, so we will see..
