Yes, I'm often getting stuttering in LiveTV, both with X-NEWA and sub's LiveTV plug-in (the latter often pops up the buffering window in XBMC). Happens much more so in 1080 HD playback, standard def channels are mostly okay.

Playback of recordings in either interface no matter definition is virtually flawless.

The LivetV http interface is pretty much the same between the two, so that is why I suggested X-NEWA timeshifting.

Both, XBMC needs to be fixed to handle growing files better, but sub also has some work to do on his timeshfiting work With beta3 already out there might not enough time for v12.

Evening Martin,

I'm working my way through an initial install of X-NEWA 1.3.0 on XBMC - Frodo Dec 9th - Windows 7 32 and 64 bit (2 different machines). This does look awesome, however when I launch TV Guide I get: "Error Retrieving EPG Data" and a blank TV Guide comes up.

My settings are:

I've attached the debug xbmc.log, and my x-newa.ini. If you could take a look and let me know why the EPG is not loading, that would be great. If it matters I do have the NextPVR plugin from Sub installed and configured, but have Live TV Timeshifting disabled due to the known issue with "Tuner not available". The server is at 192.168.0.166 and the 8866 port works for the NEWA webpage.

Thanks,

Graham.

Hey Martin.

Quick interesting update here. I used x-newa to perform a "Search Guide" and that worked! so all the EPG data does appear to be loading. Oh, and to further that front the EPG data loads properly through Sub's pvr add-on for NextPVR.

Thanks,

Graham.

I can see the error but I can't explain it. Did you recently delete a channel in NextPVR? If so, you may need to restart the recording service to reload NEWA web services. If not, could you upload you epg to dropbox or somewhere I can get it and I will try from here

Evening Martin, and again Thanks. I guess I kinda hijacked this thread. Sorry about that.
I've restarted everything, and still the same problem. Here is a link to my npvr.db3 on dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4nbrfqx1w7bokfs/npvr.db3

Thanks,

Graham.

No problem the reason this is public beta is for feedback, and I gotta help another Canuck, eh. It is not loading for me either which is a good thing.

gmilne74 did you update to NEWA 1.30 http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...012-11-27? That is required for the latest update of X-NEWA. I forgot to update my testing VM but as soon as I did your EPG loaded.
