Logs from the RPi would help showing playback would be a good start. Also on your Windows box confirm that dir \\192.168.1.100\GDrive\ shows you what you expect.

It looks like you need "from" to be G:/GDrive/

Ok just posting this so others dont waste their time
on kodi web site:

Code:
2.9.3 pathsubstitution
Path substitutions are for use for redirecting file paths. These are processed in order, and are useful for substituting an absolute path on a PC with a path suitable for XBMC to handle.
Default: No path substitutions defined.
Example:
<pathsubstitution>
  <substitute>
    <from>G:\dvds\</from>
    <to>smb://somecomputer/g-share/dvds/</to> <!-- Note the difference between the usage of forward and backslashes -->
  </substitute>
</pathsubstitution>

but it should be
Code:
<pathsubstitution>
  <substitute>
    <from>G:/dvd/</from>
    <to>smb://somecomputer/g-share/dvds/</to> <!-- Note the difference between the usage of forward and backslashes -->
  </substitute>
</pathsubstitution>

notice the forward slashes either side of dvd
this is what i had to change to make it work on raspberry pi not sure if it applies to a windows install of xbmc

The difference is the OS. Linux and iOS will want the slash slash Windows users will want backslash. I've posted about that before but I will add it to the sticky.
