Probably one for sub?
Just had a bit of an oddity.
Was watching a recording and when it finished was browsing the recordings and went to delete the one just watched and nothing happened - frozen.
Discovered the server had gone to hibernate. I have not had this happen with the NMT, revens app or PC clients.
Viewing the recording was fine, just at the end when browsing the menu and tidying up seemed affected. Could it be a missing "keep alive" in this newish interface to npvr??
I have hibernate set to 10 minutes, will change to 30 minutes for the time being.

While playing files/streams my app doesn't talk to NextPVR more than the player may be asking for new chunks to play.
I don't use sleep or hibernating anymore so I haven't experienced this myself.
BWT, no WOL implemented either.

@sub
Am I supposed to call any “keep alive” service while playing recordings?

I gathered from revens post that it was a hardware/firmware limitation, so thought I'd better not mention it the early days Wink I wake it with my tablet at present.

Hi Fred
Is there meant to be a screen saver?

The reason i Ask is Sub has given me a new version of NextPVR.exe to stop my main tv From turning off after i shut down your app.
I cant remember if there was a working screen saver before i changed the NextPVR.exe

no biggy either way just curious

Well, the Samsung screen saver is turned of, while playing recordings anyway, but that has nothing to do with this I guess.
Other than that my app has no code specifically dealing with screen savers.
While in menu UI the app refreshes the UI every 10 secs and I guess that will prevent NextPVR from going to screensaver.
While playing files there in no refresh active (since the UI isn't showing).
I write current play back position back to Next PVR every 30 sec or so but that may be to the server process and won't affect screen saver.

@sub would sending the key value -1 (as I do for refresh) while playing recordings be a good idea?

Anyway, did you try the other option I PM'd you about?

mine just stores it in a cookie, nothing fancy.

Nope, a kitchen renovation is taking up all my spare time ATM.
I'll let you know when the new skipping options are working.
