great, so just to comfirm this code would be the same as me updateing channel list via setting/channels/update epg as mentioned when i solved the iptv freezing post

No. 'Update EPG' just loads the EPG for the channels that are already loaded in your database. This "-m3u" parameter tells NextPVR to re-import the m3u file, updating any channel URLs that have changed, and adding any new channels.

You can run an update EPG from the command line with the "-UpdateEPGOnly" parameter

New channels found with the -m3u option won't be in the EPG so an update for normal TV would do nothing except removing scheduled recordings if a channel is removed. Not sure about vod.

Great, thanks guys. Would this create duplicate by using this command for m3u file ?

So ideally, after running this m3u command I would need to update the epg. Do I use the same directory in CMD and just put updateepgonly at the end instead of m3u at the end of the command.

I've not come across any other reports of that happening. Did you have them before you ran this "-m3u"?

Yes ... But don't forget the minus sign ... -updateepgonly ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...ineOptions

I don't have any duplicates before or after running the m3u command. I just thought it could happen if there's a new URL for a channel. That's good, it just updates the existing URLs for IPTV channels.

How often would you recommend running the m3u bat file. Hourly, daily, weekly ? I think the best time for me to run it would be when the computer is in down time for me that would eairly hours of the morning. To avoid interference with live TV and recordings.

Ok, both bat files are working great. The only problem Now is when i clink on demand on my sub menu my vod don't show up. If I go onto all channels via TV guide they are there. Only reason being is I get program info using on demand Via sub menu any help ? Also when watching vod via TV guide about half way through I get TV tuner needs to be used else were but I'm not recording any thing ?
