If one of you UK guys can supply a current transport stream file, I'm happy to look into why you're still getting some gaps, and this format thing you mention.

the attachment upload on your forum does not work so i will try to find some space elsewhere. the dvbepg-1.xml actually is 0kb after an "Empty EPG" and "Update". So i will also upload the gb-epg.ts file, if this helps debugging...

Does not work? What happens? You can only upload certain file types. It is usually easiest to zip them and upload them. Unless, of course, it is still larger than the maximum size allowed (which I don't remember from the top of my head).
I'm not always right
GB-PVR 1.2.9 Accent HT-400 Case, AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 1024MB, 1TB+300GB+180GB, WinXP Pro-SP2, NVidia 7600GT Nova-T USB2, PVR-350 recording from Dilog 355 DVB-T box, USB-UIRT (receiving & transmitting)

guess it must be the filesize then because i zipped it. i think it is a 1 minute transportstream capture (gbepg.ts), about 80mb (appeared in c:\ when adding the EPG xml debug option to config.xml), thats why i thought it might be helpful to find the problem with the dvb-epg... anyway, i put it here instead:

tillt, where are you? I was assuming this was going to be a UK DVB-T transport stream, but a German DVB-T one?
I'll take a look at the file soon. (after breakfast)

tillt, how many gaps you getting? I tried the transport stream file you linked above, and with the latest patches I've supplied, I got virtually complete listings until Saturday afternoon. I only had two 30 minute gaps listed, and a couple of very small two or three minute gaps that must be discrepencies in the report start/end times of the shows.
This was for N24, ProSieben, KABEL1 and SAT.1.

hey sub,
sorry for the confusion, no i am from germany as you already figured out... ok so about the gaps: my epg is one big GAP. there is no info anymore, for no station. i installed the psiparser from this post: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=47 and the GBPVRBackEndCommon from here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=13 before installing those i quit the recording service, installed the files, restarted recording service, emptied EPG, updated EPG.... aaaaand: it is still empty. Did the same thing with the old file versions, empty- probably it is just a stupid mistake i am making but i cant figure out what exactly it could be. if you dont have a tip, i will do the usual: reinstall gbpvr ... or is there anything i could have missed ? cheers, till

tilllt Wrote:hey sub,Can you do an 'update epg' in the config app, then zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log?

Its also worth creating the following registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\devnz\LogPSIProcessing=2 (DWORD) Then when the EPG update process completes, zip and email the c:\psi.log debug file. After this, delete the registry setting.

I'm having similar problems to BillM. I'm in the UK (so if you want a transport stream still let me know).
I've just run a clean install, it was working fine with the old version and am getting the gappy EPGs. From my log it appears to be: Code: 01/11/2006 23:31:54.906 VERBOSE [3] getValue() loading new key/value into cache: /settings/SaveDvbEpgXML There are several of these in the log. I've also applied the patches you posted. This is my second account, I appear to have forgotton the details of my other. Nevermind . |
