build: 1.1.1836.12269

thanks to Smeghead we now have tag information for wma (yay!Wink, ape (no duration thou, its not in the header), and ogg (funny thing is, i dont think gbpvr can play ogg files, well none that i tried Tongue).

there are some issues however: wma every track i tried had a track number of -1, can some more people test this and get back to me. and well ape no duration (he said he might work on this, but i dont use ape, so i dont really care Tongue).

Smeghead provided me with the source code so no extra dll is required its part of the my music dll.

enjoy,
and bug test.

build: #1.1.1838.13994

wma tracknumbers are now correct (no more -1 tracknumbers), thanks to Smeghead.
also i fixed a few crashing bugs (same bugs found in my videos, that i fixed a few days ago). ive discovered that gbpvr doesnt play OGG files (even thou i have tag support for them, go figure) so if anyone tags arent showing up correctly let me know.

enjoy.

Hi Reven,

Thanks for your excellent plugins. Now I am wondering if there are any limitations on the CD art in the ID3 info. Using Tag&Rename I have put art on all my CDs but in MyMusic plugin only a few (very few) are picked up.

Are there any limitations on file size etc?

And since I am on the subject, a feature request [Image: smile.gif]
If ones music is arranged by /artist/album could there be a way to put a picture of the artist in jpg format in the /artist folder and display it as a picture instead of the blue folder?

Thanks,

\\Agerdin

just use Folder.jpg, Folder.png in any folder and these will be shown as the album art, this works in all of the "my" series of plugins. theres no limitations on file size. windows sometimes calls the album art "AlbumArt_{3A9C8532-FF1C-4C5A-9A86-B97373764685}" or something like that. you can also use default.jpg default.png (but this only works in the my music plugin, since "music library" uses default instead of folder).

Reven,

is it possible to remove a track from a playlist? IMHO this would ease the definition of playlists through GB-PVR.

well it wouldnt be as easy as you think, the entire playlist would have to be cleared and the every track readded. so music would have to be stopped when a track is removed. ill play around with a few things and try and find the best way of doing it. im currently working on playing audio from a cd, and quickly getting the info from freedb.org. so when you put in a cd, the first time it connects to freedb.org, and every other time it just looks in a database to get the info.

Reven,

thanks for your reply. For my intended case of use, stopping the playing of music wouldn't be an issue. I use GB-PVR mainly through the MediaMVP which is in my living room (PC is somewhere else). If I try to assemble a playlist, I usually find myself in a situation: I hear a track and think that I would prefer not having it on my playlist, which is not really practicable through PVR. Thus, I have to resort to the PC and create the playlist by some other means.

ive asked sub to add a RemoveFromQueue(int tracknumber) method, which will remove a song from the queue without interrupting playback. but hes got a deadline for this release, so it may or may not make it into it. but theres another release coming out a week later, so if it doesnt make into the next one, it will make it into that one.

that said, im playing around with databases at the moment (never done anything useful with databases before, so most of my time is going into that). once its done the tag information shouldnt take aslong as it does at the moment (great for playlists) and CDs will show their tracknumber. SongTitle instead of Track01.
