Ok its working except i am missing a directory that i have in my othermovies.link  eg j:\Movies is the third on the list.

are you sure? check the .link file, i only changed the sorting method, nothing to do with the .link files themselves.

so all i need to replace is the dll right..

nope if i use the previous myvideos.dll i have 173 objects if i use this dll, i have 163

Not only that g:movies starting with A is at the top of the list, E:\movies starting with A is listed on down the page...Not group with g:/movies A..
