Guess I can't have everything. Having a blank placeholder for an unrecognized recording isn't as pretty I'd like but since I delete most shows after watching them, the occasional oddball isn't a huge issue. Thanks for the help.

You could try this workaround
Quote:I have a workaround for shows with a year(2010) in them

1. go to /media/shows select the show.xml you want to edit, remove everything between the <Series> </Series> tags
2. Go here, change the showname http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php...nguage=all
3. Find the show & language, copy everything between the <Series> </Series> tags to the show the you are editing & save in /media /shows now it should get the correct show info.

That works ok in NextPVR at the series level but it won't work for gms with Plex because Plex gathers complete show/season/episode metadata and art from TheTVDB strictly from the filename.

Coming from this old thread, it took some hard searching to find this tool. Just downloading now to have a play.

What's the status of it? Also, does it deserve a wiki page?

I guess it's still in beta. Maybe with the next release of NextPVR I can consider making a wiki page to show what the banners that imageGrabLite downloads look like if a user doesn't do it. It's pretty boring to design a page for a command line tool with no UI that just downloads images and renames shows.

Martin,

It may just "download images and rename shows", but I think this tool is a winner! It took me a little time to create a proper postprocessing.bat, as it has been many years since I have created a batch file, and the info on the forums and the wiki is practically non-existant, but it was worth the (small) effort.

I just had to say "Thanks!".

Martin -

As I mentioned in another thread I"ve finally upgraded to NPVR. This wonderful tool puts me further in your debt - I added 1 line to my PostProcessing.bat and now my recordings have high res pictures! Worked flawlessly, thanks for the hard work it really improves the WAF around here Smile

Thanks tobor and drbenjamin. Sub provides us with a lot of capabilities, I figure we might as well use them when we can.

Agree, kudos to Martin, and to the folks who made WizImagegrabber and other art downloaders before him.
tobor - might want to share your batch (with REM comments), it might help other folks looking to get it going too.

jksmurf, I have edited the first post to show the lines needed in the batch files, I hope that helps.
