Sub, you asked me to bump the thread. Hpoing you've got time now to look at the problem:

Skipping on the MVP and gb-pvr 1.3.11 takes just over a second (and after a short black screen there's the new part of the video).
Skipping on the MVP and NPVR 2.2.6 takes 6 or 7 seconds (and then it takes about a second for the old and the new to merge; the images have large pixels).

And when playing video, pressing back/exit on the remote crashes the MVP.

Sub, the WAF for 2.2.6 is declining rapidly ;-) . Hoping you've got more time now to look at the problem.

Long term I think you're fighting a losing battle with the MVP, but I have got a little bit of time today, so I've had a hunt and found my MVP PSU, and have fired it up. I'm unable to reproduce the crash you've reported when stopping playback. You'll need to reproduce this and post the logs.

You could see if this patch helps with your skipping problems in .TS files.

The logs I have seen seem to show it is related to playback from Recording not Video Library. One thing in the NMT logs that hasn't caused a problem which might on an MVP when stopping a Recording is this

Code:

Are you able to reproduce it there? I cant. Based on the error message though, the attached patch should help.

It seems to have removed the trace from the NMT logs where I would see it, but like I said I don't now if it was the source of the MVP problem, and I don't test on the MVP anymore. Fingers are crossed.

Ok. We'll see what reports we get back. Hopefully it helps.

Strangely enough, your patch does help with the crash on exit (stop button on remote) when playing back video, but it doesn't help for skipping problems.

I am trying new recordings on analog as well as on digital tv-card. I am getting some strange video, but maybe the channel wasn't transmitted properly so I testing some more.

I've tried a new analog recording. Playing back, then stopping: no crash. Skipping same problem: timeline skips correct (after about 1,5 second, maybe a bit slower than 1.3.11), but video takes 6,5 seconds before the actual skipping takes place.

Now trying digital.
