No any FF/REV problem, no everyday playing with video decoders and delays, no audio sync problems and dvb-subtitles work as they should.
But it is still heavy and very resource demanding, works slow here. Btw, I'v never had problems with dvb-subtitles in npvr, just the teletext subtitles, which I'v found a workaround for if you are interested?

We don't have teletext subtitles anymore, they stopped sending them few yars ago. Dvb-subtitles did never worked here in Npvr.
Mediaportal seem to work flawlessy, and not slow at all. I think, that I stop wrestling with Npvr now.

What exactly was your problem with the dvb-subtitles?

Npvr shows subtitles very randomly, and when coming up, very incorrect time. Then same text stay over 3-5 next places, then maybe come rigth one, but not in time.
If there is not coming any new text, last one stay forever.

Now that is strange, dvb-subtitles has always worked fine here, but I'v had exactly the problems you describe with teletext subtitles. But since I started using TSDoctor to extract teletext subtitles to a .srt file I can watch shows with those subtitles too. I would be interested in looking a a recording with dvb-subtitles if you can upload a snippet (200Mb or so) somewhere I can download it?

I made a one once before, when earlier i asked this. Some time ago, so think i removed it recently. Have to check it or make new one, if you like to take a look. But it is not really important any more,
there is so many other annoying things in Npvr, that i don't use it anymore. I prefer software, which is working without everyday tuning and fizzling.

That would be this thread, http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...-subtitles where sub told you that your sub-titles where different and he would need some more time.

Going by many of your threads http://forums.gbpvr.com/search.php?searchid=208648 I would say that if you are happy with MP you should just use it. I am not experiencing any problems with NextPVR but I have had problems with MP every time I have tried it for comparison, but since I am happy with NextPVR why would I bother posting on the MP forums?

Because knowing is essential. If no one never say anything, how things can be better ever?

Agreed, constructive criticism is useful, however repeatedly positing about the same problem with no new information doesn't help it get better nor does saying it works in MP.

Ok, if Sub has had a look at it and said that the Finnish subtitles are different that confirms what I suspected, no need to upload a recording then.

But frankly, I can't see how npvr should have many annoing things that are worse than MP, but that's just my opinion Wink
