On these digital cable systems it's carried in a special out-of-band frequency, which NextPVR can't see.
For any channels that are ATSC retransmissions (local channels), the EPG info is typically transmitted in the in-band QAM stream. I can supply a 1-2 minute dump later tonight if you want it.

True, retransmitted ATSC channels will often have the few hours of ATSC listings.

If you've got another sample file, I'm happy to download it and take a look.

I'm not sure that the EPG issues are specifically due to scheduled recording and automatic updates of the EPG.
I am experiencing EPG strangeness: The EPG listings get cleared for some items (but not all items) the items not cleared from the EPG seem to be recurring programs without episode specific information (e.g. the News program is still listed). I have noticed that the issue is sporadic.

On Friday night I scrolled through the available TV Guide and did have a listing for Monday night, come Monday when I opened the guide much of the program information had been replaced with no information available.

DVB-T broadcast in Australia using a Leadtek DTV-1000S
I don't auto update the EPG.
I don't have programs scheduled more than 2hrs in advance.
I do have update during Live TV set -this worked in 2.6.2 wherein I ran for around 6 weeks only updating the EPG for the one channel (ok EPG for the bundle) that had the one program I was watching, i.e. the other channels had no program information.

I can't guarantee the machine+OS will be online (dual boot) and have enough resources to spare for the auto update of EPG at a specific time.
I only watch one program each night on one channel Mon - Fri (so the update EPG during Live TV was ideal for me)

It'll be a few days as I'm away from home now on a business trip - hopefully it'll be sorted by the time I get back Smile

I was having the exact same problem as post #63. I do have auto update EPG at 6.00am. If I look at the data on the computer all looks fine but later when I start watching TV some of the EPG data disappears. I have turned off update during live TV and this seems to have stopped the problem.

Would re-installing the previous version over the top of 3.1.1 work, sub? I think that's my best course of action for now, as the management is is rightly complaining about this machine that's always on in the living room...

No that isn't possible, the update program uses date stamps so you have to uninstall and reinstall.

OK, so I'm stuck with 3.1.1 for the moment but so many of us are having this problem...

I'm still waiting for some logs from that patch I posted. I'm sure it's not going to be big deal to fix, but I'm going to need those with the problem to supply these logs.

Typical, since installing the patch it hasn't happened again!
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh
