You'll probably need to reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs.

Just curious if you might have had a chance to look at the logs I attached. I'm still banging my head against the wall with this. I'm still getting the "unable to communicate with recording service" message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled program. I stopped the service and installed the patch, and then restarted service. It successfully downloaded channels and guide but will not play anything.

Can you try viewing from NextPVR itself, rather than the NVidia Shield, and post the logs again?

You do need to fix your configuration to get rid of a bad tuner

2018-11-30 11:23:42.225 [DEBUG][9] non-existant capture source: 21

Also since it seems you are using sub's Android app are you using Direct play?

From Nextpvr on my computer is where I have mostly tried it. I have tried it on the client a couple of times, though. I had to leave for work but I will try it again from my pc in the mor ing and post the logs.

I tried it with direct play and without. Didn't see a difference. Any advice on how I should fix my config.? I'll admit I'm a little over my head here. Maybe a little too much so.

Quickest and easiest is to reset and start again. NextPVR stores everything in two files ... npvr.db3 and config.xml in the NextPVR data folder ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...alledParts

If you have scheduled recordings or recorded shows that you want to keep ... go to NextPVR Settings --> Recording and press the Export Recording button to create a file containing recording data from the database. Close NextPVR.

In the NPVR group on the Windows Start Button menu ... click Stop Recording Service ... then delete the npvr.db3 in the data folder ... Start NextPVR (to recreate the database) and then close NextPVR. Reboot to reset everything ... Start NextPVR and reconfigure your tuners (or IPTV) at NextPVR Settings --> Devices ... import the recording file (if you created one) at NextPVR Settings --> Recording

I just checked now, and it looks like Vaders has changed something again. They've been a pain in the arse recently.

Try this updated version. If that doesn't help, you'll probably need to post some logs.
