Problem getting EPC (Sched Dir.)

I am of course hoping to end up with a good running web app version.  I will be working some more with the stand alone exe version of 5 just to see if the decoder change there will help. 

The NextPVR Web App is not really intended to be used as a ten foot app (i.e. from the sofa).  NextPVR.exe can only be used on the same machine as NextPVR Server (and only under Windows).

Currently, Kodi is the got-to solution for a ten-foot app for V5 (if NextPVR.exe can't be used) ... The "built-in" NextPVR add-on for Kodi is simple and elegant ... Thanks for the input Graham .. But I have problems here with the web version and getting it working correctly.   To keep things simple for me I'd prefer at this point to just concentrate on getting the NPVR version 5 web app to run okay.   I don't see what advantage installing a new and completely unknown (to me) 3rd party application like KODI is going to help, when I can't get the original Nextnpr vs 5 app to work.  I think the correct thing to do here is start at the beginning and get the basic stuff working before going crazy with other additional options or mods etc.   Hope you get where I'm coming from ??  I've just shut down the old PC running NextPVR 4 and disconnected it from it's power source and LAN.   So today .. I"m starting over with the new vs 5 install.

You should be to use nextpvr.exe, just like you did in v4. The only major differences is if you need to configure settings etc, you'll need to do this in the web app.

I figured that .. but still having a bunch of issues.   I've had to start over with a fresh install of both windows 10 and Nextpvr only to have a myriad of problems.  Meanwhile I've put the old HTPC back on line (which is running vs 4) and it's doing it's normal thing .. perfectly.  

FWIW I may have some kind of hardware problem with the new windows 10 PC.   Last two days have been running deep diagnostics and it "looks" like II have one of the two 8 GB memory sticks failing !!   The one in the 2nd bank can't handle a stress test and after the 2nd or 3rd pass of testing starts to show increasing numbers of errors.   Sigh .. Really expensive high quality matched 16 GB worth of memory sticks.   Not over-clocked etc.   So I might have an intermittent hardware failure that is causing me problems with the new system.  

Next up I'll have to pull the chassis out of the rack mount and yank that 8 GB stick and run the system with only 8 GB  (of good RAM) and see if I still have problems with the NextPVR.   Geeshhh .. Normally I would have test run and burned in the new PC for at least a week or two before starting to add new applications etc.   But I built the thing and just ran it for a couple days without any real burn in period etc.  

My bad .. Getting this "custom" designed chassis installed in the console rack mount was a hassle. ugh ..
