WDM Recorder using Software Compression

DeepSpace1 (or anyone else), have you had any more luck with getting the ATI TV Wonder to work? I tried the drivers you recommended. I was able to get sound with them, but I then I couldn't get the video working. It seems that Windows could not initialize my tv tuner with those drivers, and I just got a blue screen.

Using the standard ATI drivers I can get a good picture under live mode, but I have no sound and I can't record.

I was kind of able to get the sound working last night by playing with the crossbar settings in Graphedit. Now, I have never used Graphedit before, so I'm not sure if I'm doing things right. I can't seem to get the changes to save or anything. I change it in Graphedit and the sound comes on, but the next time I start GB-PVR I have no sound again. I assume I am doing something wrong.

I still have not been able to get the record to work. When I run the demux checker it tells me there is no multiplexer installed on the machine. I have tried several multiplexers (elecard, ATI, WMO, showshifter), but they all seem to give me the same result.

collindv: any change you can post a zip file instead of an ace file. ace is a proprietary format, and doesn't perform as well as 7-zip. (hint: try 7-zip it's awesome).

what do you change in graphedit? you might try checking what crossbar settings are detected (look in config.exe.config), and applying them manually to the config file. Also post the logs of that. The crossbar is used to select the audio/video input (i.e. tuner/composite/s-video).

muxer/multiplexers and demuxer/demultiplexers are vastly different, one is used for recording, the other for playback. GB-PVR uses a de-multiplexer for playback, the WDM recorder uses a multiplexer to record.

I'm trying to make the card working. I've found a configuration in GraphEdit working (just live video for the moment) but I'm not able to transfer it to WDM have I missing something?

OK, attached is my graphedit in zip format.

The setting I can change in graphedit to get the sound working is in the ATI TV Wonder AV Crossbar properties. This is done by changing the output to "Video Tuner Out" (which changes the input to "Video Tuner In") and clicking the "Link Related Systems" checkbox (I guess to link the "Audio Tuner In" to the "Audio Decoder Out").

I have also included the config.exe.config and config.xml files in the zip archive. I'm not sure what I am supposed to be looking at in this file.

Hi,

I'm posting this again in hopes that someone else has run into this problem:


I'm having audio/video sync issues. I'm using the Software Recording with a WinTV GO card.
I'm using the Elecard MPEG2 encoder.

Thinking that it's a problem with the mux, I've tried a few different ones.
The Cyberlink 5.0.0.1307 works the best, but at the end of a 30 min show, the audio is off by over 2 seconds.
The Elecard mux and the Intervideo mux have even more problems with the sync. By the end of a 20 min recording they're off by over 3 sec.
The Windows mux doesn't work at all; it just creates a 0kb file.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Ideas?
