I've checked my baseskin.xml file and it didn't seem to have any of the entries mentioned in this post (http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=64) so I followed the instructions and edited my baseskin and skin files accordingly (or at least I think I followed the instructions correctly).

I went from being able to start TV Listings and have it lock up when it displayed the listings table to having it lock up at the Main Menu without even displaying the table.

I've attached my baseskin and skin files, as well as my PVRX2 logs and I was hoping if you could point me in the right direction. Life without TV Listings sucks, and I'd even settle for TV Listings in the infamous Blue skin if I could get it to run under CS3...any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you re-apply the theme or let the installer overwrite your exsisting one?

Quote:To utilize the baseskin fixes, you need to use the skinplugin and select the approriate baseskin file for your theme.

Hi,
dshoup Wrote:Thanks for the help. The screenname composit solved the issue. However, I'm still at a loss with the channel name. I have used the @name, but it is pulling the channel name from a different spot in the GBPVR database (I believe it is what ties the TV listings to the tuner data, so it can not be edited or you would not be able to record the shows). The TV Guide in the Community Skin 3 pulls from the field I'm wanting to use, but the code in the TV Guide skin does not work...I'm trying to see if there is a way to adapt the TV Listings skin so it would accept that parameter in addition to the 3 you mentioned.

you won't be able to change the way the plugin loads the channels and their names from the database by editing skin-files.
The plugin reads out the channel names by using the "name" column of the database, but there is a field named "display_name" in the meantime - I think that's what you're looking for. I will add support for the display name in the next release.

Actually FM, I took both approaches but had the same results each time.

When I posted the original message, I had been retaining my customized theme, but I thought that itself might be an issue, so I re-installed CS3 and let the installer replace it.

Unfortunately there is still no joy in Mudville; Mighty CS3 is still striking out. Smile

I think CS3 is installing the new baseskins folder under plugins/plugins/skinplugin/resources, which is wrong. Move the baseskins folder up to the correct place and it may solve the problem.
What, me worry?

Well after applying the latest CS3, I am now back to locking up at the table of listings - uhh, I guess that's progress, since it was locking up at the main menu before...

I'm going to be busy for the next 48 hours so I'll have to drop this at the moment and come back to it on Wednesday eve. -sigh-

Ok, I am an idiot.Big Grin

I never updated the installer to go from the gbpvr to the pvrx2 version.
I will update the installer tonight. Here is the file for a manual install in the skin2\community3 folder.

Do the NamedColors listed below work in the skin for TVListings 2? These don't seem to work, as they did in the previous version.

<NamedColor name="SelectedInProgressRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedCompletedRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedConflictingRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedPendingRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedCompletedWithErrorRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedListingSurround"
What, me worry?

Hi,

roy Wrote:Do the NamedColors listed below work in the skin for TVListings 2? These don't seem to work, as they did in the previous version.

<NamedColor name="SelectedInProgressRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedCompletedRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedConflictingRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedPendingRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedCompletedWithErrorRecording"
<NamedColor name="SelectedListingSurround"

those colors are used in the timeline and as background for scheduled programmes in the grid when "showStatusColor" is set to "true" in the "Listings" placement node of your skin.xml file.
