I did the GraphEdit.

Img1.jpg is when I first insert the filter

Img2.jpg is when I right click and render the PIN

VBI does not seem to link to anything.

I hope this helps! Thank you in advance.

I'm having trouble following this stuff. Does this work with the msi tv@anywhere master? If it does, can someone give me step-by-step method to install the plugin.

web_maven: that explains why video preview is failing, now i've just gotta figure out what i need to do to fix it (sub: which pin do you actually render in the preview graph? can i just pass the capture pin as the preview pin?)

fyi: VBI stands for vertical-blanking-interval. You should be able to insert a VBI decoder, and then maybe a Teletex decoder, and render that pin to get normal video render and get teletext output!

ripps818: I have no idea. Try it out and let me know. If you want then send a graphedit screenshot beforehand and I can give a chance that it'll work rating :-)

Ripps818;

Download Version 8, it's located on page 6 of this forum.  It's possible you may not have the same problem that I have.

Once you download the zip file open the directory where GBPVR is located it should be in c:\Program Files\devnz

The zip file will have folders gbpvr and source plus a couple of text files copy all files to the "devnz" folder.  Then go into you config file and make your selections.

normanr:  Thanks for your help and I hope the solution comes quickly for you .

Thank you;
Raymond

It'll render whatever pin your pass as the the preview pin. You can set the capture and preview pins the same, which is what I do with BDA support.

I installed it the way the file said to, but the config.exe is exactly the same. How do I add "WDM Software Encoder Recorder"?

Start the config program then click the Capture Source tab.

If you don't have a capture source the click add otherwise click edit. The "Edit Recording Source" window will appear click the down arrow from the "Recording Source" the "WDM Software Encoder Redorder" should be available then click settings. Select you Capature card, audio device and Input.

Make sure to setup your EPG then Updated the EPG and you should be good to go.

I have had trouble getting my card to work I have also had trouble getting GBPVR to remember my settings.

Good Luck

OK, jumping back onto this after a weeks away.

Brand new, fresh install-downloaded v8. extracted all the contents of the gbpvr folder of v8 into the GBPVR folder, got the warning about it already containing a file called 'plug ins' clicked ok.

Ran the config set everything up-music folders, video folders then went to the Capture Sources-found my card just fine, and the soundcard and the line in-saved that, chose the channels I wanted for the BLEB scheduler, downloaded the schedule, made the numbers of the available channels link to the tuner frequencies/numbers, saved and exited the config.

Started GBPVR-went to TV guide, double clicked on a programme, chose the 'watch' option -perfect.

BUT...

Come to make a recording, choose the 'Quick Record' option as the programe is already running-and though it creates a folder on the drive I've assigned for storage, it isn't making a recording.

I'm attaching the GBPVRrecordingservice.exe log if that helps? If you need anything else to me cure this final problem, please let me know

The main difference between LiveTV in preview mode and recording (or LiveTV in non-preview mode) is that it uses the MPEG-2 compressors installed on your system (or not installed - and hence it's probably breaking)

Get hold of the free evaluation moonlight encoder package and install it, you should then get recording working.

(btw: you missed the attachment)
