To be honest, I can't get an angle on this. It looks as though at some point the Dvbtr.exe process didn't start cleanly and then things got out of sync.

Unfortunately, the pvrx2.exe.logs are from a later time than when this happened and I can't quite see what went wrong.

Could you use Task Manager to check if dvbtr.exe is listed on the Processes tab and kill it if it is, then try again and post the logs.

Cheers,
Brian

That's the one. I read "IMPORTANT If you have a version prior to v1.2.x.x you must download and install the new skin files to make this work correctly. " and assumed i didn't need them. Oops Smile.

LOL Big Grin

Maybe I need to change the wording - I can see it could be confusing.

Might be a good idea; or just package them all up as a single file and tell us to extract it into the gbpvr directory.

Unfortunately when I attempt to play a station it now hangs at "Scanning... please wait" and crashes PVRX2 after a few seconds. I've attached the logs if their of any use.

It mentions in the logs trying to play an mp3 file which doesn't exist (i.e. i can't find it in the directory when it's meant to be playing it) and also throws up a null pointer exception which seems to be killing the rest of it; I wonder if just doing simple null-pointer checking may help it keep going?

Could you post the contents of the plugin's Logs folder please?

Yeah - most of the code has pretty good exception handling but a few areas don't. I'm working on a major review on this.

You don't seem to have a LAME Encoder registered. Try the download from the following link...

http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-dshow-acm.php

It's the one in the section 'LAME 3.98 Beta DirectShow Filter'.

That's odd. I did install Lame from the link you had on the Wiki. Unless that log was when I tried it without Lame at the very start.

Anyway, after re-installing from the link above it still crashes, here is the only log file which gets written to (the rest aren't updated so I didn't include them).

It looks like the dvbtr.exe process is still running - this is odd as the process is supposed to terminate itself after two minutes if it doesn't have any communication from the plugin.

Start Task Manager and look on the 'Processes' tab and use End Process to kill it then try again.

Strange. I terminated it and it seems to work now Smile.

A couple of things i've noticed, which I'm not sure if it's down to your plug-in or GB-PVR are that when playing the radio the GB-PVR tray icon doesn't detect that a tuner is being used. Also, if I'm recording something and listening to the radio (I have a dual tuner) then stop the radio to watch live TV I can't because it thinks the other tuner is still in use.

Thanks again Smile.
